    Two seperate problems

I guess it's best to start off with the specs of the computer I built a couple months back.

    mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813188039

    processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115202

    RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227365

graphics card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121272 (a little over a year old, heavy use, potentially the problem at hand)

    PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817153104

HD: remnants of previous computer, still good. Threw in 2 extra TB's for this build though.

    OS: windows 7 64-bit ultimate

After a month of regular use to let the computer burn in, I decided to overclock it. I'm well read about the subject, but this is only the second computer I have done it on. Mainly because my previous computer lasted four years. At any rate, the i7 is OC'd to 4 GHz on air, memory slightly downclocked to like 1533 MHz as a result. The heat is green across the board; I did my cabling really good this time with the modular power supply.

So the first problem I'm having is that sometimes, and only sometimes, when the computer boots up I get these weird pixelations. Red, green, and blue dots in random locations, usually grouped together, but not in any discernible pattern. The dots react to having windows dragged over them, moving and creating/removing dots. The general consensus of the house is that my graphics card is dying and I should get a new one. I really didn't want to upgrade this soon, because the next card I intend to buy is a 5850, and they're still pretty expensive.

The other problem I may have solved myself, but I would still like opinions if anyone has them. Occasionally playing particular flash games (treasure madness on facebook) will cause my computer to lock up completely, or do a hard reboot instantly. Through process of elimination I have determined that the overclock is not causing it, nor is firefox or IE. This left the actual flash stuff as the cause. I deleted it all through programs and features in the control panel, rebooted, then reinstalled. Unfortunately, it continued to crash me. Doing some more reading, I realized I may not have actually uninstalled everything correctly. So I used the adobe flash player uninstall program, and made sure other programs were all shut down. That's the point where I'm at now. I haven't had an opportunity to determine if the "proper" uninstall fixed the problem.

edit: This 2nd problem is still not fixed. Some preliminary research indicates that it's a problem with flash incompatibility with 64-bit. I have no idea what's going on, as none of my friends are having this issue, and they all run 64-bit as well. I also read something that suggested that msn messenger can cause a corrupted install, but I should've fixed that by deleting and reinstalling everything. Unless, of course, my method of deleting wasn't complete.

My thanks in advance for any useful thoughts/comments.

Your first problem sounds like your graphics cards, like what everyone else says.

As for your second problem. It sounds exactly like the problem I had before, which was my wireless card/adapter. It would only freeze my computer during FBing and other internet searches. It's a shot, but just try another one if you can and see where that takes you.

Not using a wireless card. I suppose I could check the motherboard site to see if there was an update to the bios, or any other drivers related to it.
