360 Gamertag and Playonline ID

Don't really know where to post this, but the random question thread in Adv didn't reply.

So I used to play FFXI for 360 on and off, before I stopped because of sound issues and other framerate problems I noticed on it. Went back to PS2.

Now I'm having PS2 problems relating to blackscreening in graphic intensive cut scenes, with a lot of items on the screen I guess, I'm not sure what its issue is.

Anyway, I changed my 360 Gamertag a few months ago because I was bored of the old one, and the old one I had was linked to my POL ID.

So my question is, will I be unable to play FFXI on my 360 without the original gamertag I used, or is the POL ID linked to your overall 360 account and not that specific ID?

Not sure what I should do about this. I could just change the name back but its 12 bucks I don't really want to spend unless I have to.

Its linked to the GT you originally linked it with but you can call SE and give them your info and they will unlink so you can link it to your new one.

If I run into issues I'll call them up then. I just logged into POL with my POL ID and 'new' gamertag, didn't give me any problems it seems. Trying to install the game now and it got an error at 55 mins remaining already lol. Going to be a fun night.

Seems to be stalling out at 55 mins remaining on installation. I can't figure out why, giving me an installation error. Has anyone had this issue?

So if I wanted to achievement whore all I have to do is call SE and they'll unlink my gamertag from the account it's tied to now and I can put it on a new gamertag?

Do any of you guys know how much hard disk space you need free on 360 to install the game? That could be my error problem, I didn't think of it. I have 13.something gigs free though.

Other possibility is 360 knicked up the CD in a spot I need. Good Christ almighty this is a pain in the ass.

And unless they have changed it if your account was previously linked to a gamertag and you have since changed gamertags you will have to call SE to access your account on the new gamertag. If you are having to reinstall completely it may have allowed you to access pol to install everything and after complete will kick you out and not allow you to log in.

20 GB harddrives only give like 14 GB space or something and you can install on those with plenty of space left. I'm pretty sure it takes around 7 GB or so with all expansions.

Just looked it up and Kia is right sources saying around 6.7GB, I figured I might be off on that.
