Question about a loophole in the story (chapter 11 spoilers..)

I just fought Vanille's eidolon, and Fang was talking about how she had become Ragnarok and shattered Cocoon's shell in their previous task... But when I do to the datalogs for both of them, Vanille's page says that SHE became Ragnarok, and then Fang's page says the same thing...

If there's more to the story than they're letting on that's fine and I don't want to be spoiled, I'm just confused right now and wondering if they made a mistake in the datalogs heh.. =/

It gets updated & corrected in Vanilles entry when you progress later. Vanille remembered everything, and when she discovered that Fang had lost her memories of the final events, she lied in order to spare Fang the grief. During the travels from cocoon to Pulse Fang had a hunch Vanille lied and bluffed in order to call her out on it, which sent Vanilles emotions roiling causing her eidolon to appear and confirmed Fangs suspicions.
