T-Mobile and Nexus One

So my T-mobile contract is due for an upgrade at the end of may but because I hate my blackberry more and more everyday and want to switch to the Google N1 I called in to try and get them to let me upgrade and sign a new 2 year early.

They seemed to have no problem with me doing that if I choose one of the phones they carry, but wouldn't reset my upgrade date so I could get the N1 off googles website since they don't sell it directly on the T-Mobile site. Anyone have any idea why this is? Do they not understand buying from Google still locks me into a 2 year contract through them?

It's because google is selling the phone, not tmobile.

You also have to sign up for a new contract on a specific plan. (Costs $79.99)
Or you can go with the even more plus plan, have no contract, and pay full price for the phone. It's cheaper over the course of 2 years to pay full price and go with even more plus.

A lot of people bitched when it came out, b/c of the plan restrictions and what-not. The only thing you can do is bend over and pay full price really.

No biggie. I ended up finding a way around their bullshit. Bought the phone for the 179 on a 2nd line for my account then canceled my main line and ate the 100 dollar ETF. So I still got the phone for the same upgrade price of 279 over all and 2 months early. Only thing it really cost me was keeping my current phone number.

Theres also the Samsung Galaxy S with its Super AMOLED screen. These Android phones are just getting better and better. <3

I wonder what Apple is planning for its 4G/S... I doubt it'll be as good as the Nexus One just so they have a reason to release an upgrade a short time after.

I'd have the Nexus One alrdy. Tmobile owes me a god damn upgrade though, and the Nexus isn't available for the upgrade. If it gets flash support like it's supposed to, I'll pony up the full price for it.
