Miz & Woozie & others interested in space

You absolutely cannot miss Brian Cox's show if it comes out in the US. If it doesn't, you should find a torrent or something because it's brilliant.

I can't really find an official page for it that has any good info, but here's a decent writeup of the first ep: http://www.denofgeek.com/television/...un_review.html

But seriously this guy's love of his planet and the science involved in it is infectious. Highly highly recommended.

Awesome! Thanks for the recommendation, I will most certainly check that out and find a torrent of it as well. No worries Woozie, if you cant find it I will make ANOTHER copy of it for you and send it to you.

You rock Lin, I thoroughly enjoy shows like this, so thank you for keeping me in mind and updated

Also Miz, my friend just published a paper that talks about liquid helium rain on Jupiter. It's getting a lot of press atm so I'm very proud of him! (Hugh) http://sify.com/news/helium-rain-exp...xmErbgfje.html

You can talk about it, because more than likely I already know. Plus, ill watch anything science related no matter how much I know about it or how many times I've seen it, im not pretentious enough to believe I know everything and watch it with the same wonder as if I know nothing.

    I am a purist!

Well then! It's awesome because it's an asteroid, and if it had crashed onto Mars today it would have been obliterated because there's no atmosphere to slow it down now. SO what it means is that at some stage in its past, Mars must have had an atmosphere for that rock to be there. And that's pretty awesome :D

Earth will be destroyed in 2012 when an asteroid blows up mars and all the debris crashes into earth. Time to write a book, see you suckers at the bank.
