(NewsCore) - A British woman has told how she came back from the dead 114 times after her heart stopped, The Sun reported Saturday.

Ann Mintram, 55, was at home with husband David when she fell unconscious and was rushed to the hospital.

Doctors realized she had Sudden Adult Death Syndrome and battled for 30 hours to revive her with shocks from a defibrillator.

She came round, only to "die" again repeatedly. The defibrillator was used so many times Ann's chest was burned and medics continued treatment on her back.

She said in Waunfawr near Caernarfon, north Wales: "No one expected me to get through. I was scared and felt like giving up. My body couldn't cope with any more shocks. But I have six grandchildren and I thought, 'Blow it, I'm going to fight.'"

Daughter Helen said: "I asked the consultant after shock number 18, 'What's the plan?' He said, 'This is the plan, there's nothing more we can do.' She was in so much pain. I can still hear her screams."

Ann was stabilized and had a defibrillator surgically installed next to her heart.

Dr. Azad Hanna, of Ysbyty Gwynedd hospital in Bangor, said: "She's unique. I know of no one else surviving that long. And normally there's brain damage. She's normal."
