    FFXIV Wiki

So uh, now that there will be a lot of info flowing out; is there an offical wiki?

    So far ive seen:

http://ffxiv.wikia.com/wiki/FFXIV_Wiki (Ran by a new crew?)
    http://www.eorzeapedia.com/wiki/en/Main_Page

I assume clopedia will have a strong following due to their install base, and I guess the wikia site is some rebellion of sort from clopedia, and ive no clue about eorzea, kind of feels like the ffxionline.com site of xiv (easily forgotten about and no one cares about anymore even though it used to be popular).

Oh wow I remember ffxionline. I stopped going though when their forums turned into whatever the alpha forums are like now.

Eorzeapedia is actually run by the makers of the ffxiclopedia crew, I believe. Which is strange, considering the wiki navigation for the site is trash.

Eorzeapedia seems to have its stuff together the most currently so its the one I bothered to favorite. Though that could easily change based on trend, and if so I'd just go to wherever had info the fastest and most reliably.

If eorzea really is ran my the clopedia crew (anyone know for sure whos running the other two wikis I posted then?), they might have a head start, but like others have said, their site/wiki is quite crappy.

I just checked out clopedia but there was nothing there. o_O I've found the Zam site to have the most info. The others just seem to have what is already available on the official site posted.

So Eorzeapedia is fraudwiki? Well, if they do manage to get people to use their site again for FFXIV, I hope they're better about website security this time around. Same with ffxiv-atlas, and ffxivah.

Though I will laugh if eorzeapedia runs a donation drive again to keep their servers running, then sells out again to wikia and pockets the donations again.

The problem is, all these sites will keep getting smacked the fuck up with the NDA stick. Hard to make a good source of all info officially when thats happening.

IMO the best sources for info right now are a few BG users LJs and personal sites, not dropping any names, but that's where most of the info you cant find anywhere else is.

Yeah.. I remember going there before I came here, it was that long ago. I had a friend there (Faldeur..Falduer.. gah, something like that) who posted awesome screenshots and this was back when shit was actually new. Those were the days.

I wonder if WSes can be paralyzed in FFXIV, I mean all attacks manual now!

Seriously though, it doesn't matter as long as Blue Gartr itself is scholarly. Eventually all good information will come from us if we remain the elitists.

Are Alpha forums accessible only to alpha testers or are they public? If public, what's the link, can't seem to find it by googlin'

Mods should edit all OPs of info threads to be have a Wiki article worth of information(summarize the thread and previous threads) and good organization to go along with it. Then it would be easy for Wikis to collect information and for some posters to skip the Wiki entirely.

This one is ran by the same mods of ffxiclopedia. The layout is what it is right now cuz there is so little info, but there has always been discussion of updating the setup more and more. There will be a whole remap later on, I would think closely resembling ffxiclopedia's.

Thank god, the tab-based navigation really isn't cutting it.

as mentioned by others Eorzeapedia is the one run by ffxiclopedia people.. and if i have to place my vote on any of them, it'd be them right now.

FFXIVclopedia is already trash compared to the other two at this stage and the wikia one, while it looks similar to XI's otherwiki, appears to only see 1 person contributing to all of it.

Eorzeapedia seems to be the most active, even has a twitterfeed and all, although it mostly spams you on hot forum topics (really lame). There's definitely more content there but the layout is horrible to the extent that even if people wanted to contribute, the layout would put them off.
    Its that bad.

I honestly expect the one ran by the ffxiclopedia staff to succeed more than others purely on the fact that the followers who don't care/don't know about the drama associated with them in the past. I do wish that the BG-Wiki had taken off, but ah well. I'm sure one will emerge on it's own and they'll just take the info we figure out here and act like they found it out on their own.
