* The World Transfer Service will be unavailable starting 30 minutes before the maintenance. Please wait until after the maintenance is completed before attempting to use these services.

* Maintenance operations will delete any reservations for Pankration matches and Maze Tabulae registered to NPC Duplidoc for Moblin Maze Mongers. Players who are scheduled to participate in Pankration matches, those who will enter Assault, Salvage or Einherjar areas, or those who will participate in Dynamis or Limbus at the time of the maintenance, we ask that you please wait until maintenance is complete before engaging in these activities. Please note that we cannot replace items that are lost during the maintenance process.

That was close... last saturday we couldn't do pet run Jormy or ZNM because of the maintenance so I guess doing it on a Monday of all days turned out well (no staff drop ._.)

Check your math - 4 hours ahead means we subtract

1:00pm to 3:00pm EST

I'm so glad I don't do land kings anymore. After nearly 7 years I think I would've hanged myself if I had to camp that shit for the rest of my XI career.

I don't mind this at all. It means I can actually attend HNM's as they're no longer 5 AM.

20:00 to 01:00 is a much more manageable time.

I can see NA's complaining, as it puts HNM's in their work time, but maintenance in EU prime time doesn't exactly put HNM's in "JP prime time". Last I checked, JP prime time isn't 5AM to 8AM JP time. Sure, eventually they'll move closer and closer to JP prime time, but that also means it'll move closer and closer to NA times.

Like I said, anyone doing HNM's in EU should be happy maintenance is in EU times. It puts them at manageable times for us. HNM's love popping last window, anyway.

nope. the UK is on british summer time, which is GMT +1, EDT +5. SE always lists on GMT. maint. ends at 3.

Does Eastern Time observe Daylight Saving Time?

In most states in the USA and in most provinces in Canada, Daylight-Saving Time (DST) is observed. During DST the time is shifted forward by 1 hour to EDT; which is 4 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT-4).

After the Summer months Eastern Time is shifted back by 1 hour to US Eastern Standard Time (EST) or (GMT-5).
