How do people decide what is "gay music" and what is normal?

Are all men supposed to like Metallica and Jay Z?

Just something that kinda stuck with me, and turned it over in my head, thought I'd put it out there and see if anyone had anything interesting to say.

Seriously this. I listen to everything. If a random "normal" person ever looked at my Iphone they;d probably wonder what the fuck is wrong with me. With stuff Like Metallica, Stone Sour, Dream Theater (etc.) comes Maroon 5, some J-pop from anime/other stuff, house/trance, movie soundtracks, Bobby Womack, Jay Z, DMX, Journey, Miles Davis, Elton John, and even an occasional campy radio song like Tick-Tock from Ke$ha. I also liked that popular Kylie Minogue song from 2002. Don't remember the name of it.

Who cares what your friend says. Music is only music. Tagging some as "gay" usually means they're more close minded than you, and missing out on tons of great stuff. What you like is your business and nobody elses.
