So I put this problem in the Skate3 thread, but I can't seem to find a solution so I figured I'd ask it as it's own thread.
Last week when Skate 3 came out I bought a PS3 Bluetooth so a friend and I could chat on the PS3 instead of having to chat through Xbox while playing on the PS3. He had gotten a bluetooth from a friend at work already, but hadn't really messed with it (his is not the PS3 Bluetooth). After some initial problems we both got ours hooked up and, while not up to par with Xbox party chat, it wasn't too far off and was a pretty good experience.
Jump ahead to later that night and every experience since, the chat has just been absolutely atrocious, sometimes bridging on unusable. I have a constant popping/crackling sound in my mic that will not stop and doesn't start until Skate 3 boots up. Once I start a private game and invite him in, he such crackle over his voice it's sometimes near inaudible, but that part sometimes clears up. What does not clear up is the fact it sounds like he is talking into a tin can. His voice is constantly reverberating and when mixed with the crackle, even when he is audible it's just flat out annoying at how it sounds.
What's the deal? Is it one or both of our headsets? He said he has the same problem as I do with the sound of the crackle + the tin can sound, but his issue never seems to be as bad as mine. Is there some settings I'm failing to adjust? Any help would be appreciated since I really enjoyed my first experience with it and I enjoy it 100xs over the wired Xbox headset, but the way it is now is unbearable.
