    Wii Hard Drive Swap?

I wasn't sure if this would be Tech or Gaming, but I figured this might get more exposure.

My question is, is it possible to swap a hard drive from Wii A into Wii B, and still be able to play the VC games from Wii A on Wii B?

I did a google search but the results I saw were for booting or backing up to an external drive, but that's not really what I'm looking for.

I did post on DC Emu forums as well, but figured I'd give a shout here to see if anyone might know.

    TIA

can you play VC/Wiiware games off of a USB hard drive to begin with? I was always under the impression that they had to be installed directly to the wii system memory from an SD Card/USB drive using Wad Manager 1.4.

to even get pirated VC games to run off of the SD card (meaning you move them to the SD card after they're installed) is enough of a pain in the ass, I don't think you'd be able to just swap that SD card into another wii and have it work without the same IOS modifications.

The Wii doesn't have a hard drive inside it if that's what you're asking. I assume it's internal memory is a flash memory chip soldered to a pc board.

Oh, ok. I wasn't sure how the memory worked exactly. I guess that answers my question.
