Shave/Trim where why what method how often?

So, I was just wondering who here on BG shaves, what they shave, how often they shave it, and why they shave it. Since many people have different styles, I figured it'd be fun to see who does what and the reasoning behind it.


Goatee: I don't like it to look bushy, but I like it's look in general, so I trim it. I use scissors for this, actually. Once every other week, I grab and pull it down as far as possible and then I just cut as high up as I can w/ the scissors, done.

Mustache: I shave this about once a month. I would trim it, like the goatee, but I don't have the proper tools to do so, so I just shave it instead. Also due to the bushy look I'm not a fan of. Shave w/ razor/cream

Back of my calf: Not intentional, but constantly. There is a patch of reduced hair on the back of my calf, where my pant leg rubs against my calf from all the bike riding I do, which I guess keeps the hair low due to friction.

Ass: Yes, I shave my ass, about once a month, actually. Why? Because I have a hairy ass (I guess evolution from coming from a long line of prison goers to adapt to prison rape). Anyways, when it goes too long w/o being cut, I'll be taking a shower and when I go to wash my ass, I'll find chunks of toilet paper tangled in my ass hair, so I started cutting it. Shave w/ razor

My armpits are abnormally hairy, people tell me, but I don't like to be tickled and this often avoids that from happening, so I leave it as is.

So what do you shave, why, ect.

Face, head, balls, and pubic region.

Face: obv. Mach 3, shaving cream.

Head: Receding hairline due to genetics, shave it all off. Mach 3, shaving cream. Nivea lotion all over the face ( alcohol free ) and seaweed soap from Mario Badescu on face and head to prevent bumps and clean pores. Seaweed cleanser before lotion to get a nice full clean.

Balls / pubic region: I had a bush so I shaved it all because A) my balls get way more treatment in bed being bald, also less friction from pube hairs being gone girls go all the way down and sex is better. Also clean with seaweed soap and dust with babypowder w/ aloe to keep it soft and dry.

My wife trims my nose and eyebrows weekly, and I get a professional trim / wax monthly at Aveda.

Shave my face because my lady doesn't like the rugged feel to it. I use Gillet Fusion because I just like it. If I'm single, I usually just go with a chin beard. Looks the best on me.

I also shave my balls because it looks better and because I'm considerate of my lady friends. I don't like going down on ladies and come up looking like Billy Mays, and neither should they.

Funny, I have the same deal as you with the calf hair. Although I suspect mine is more to wearing slimmer jeans, but not really being a twig.. my legs actually have muscle. So it rubs regardless of what Im doing.

Face - I shave my neck every few days (2-3), as I like to keep it looking fresh and clean. I trim the beard less often, maybe once a week when it stats getting too scruffy or if I'm going out. I go clean shaven very infrequently these days, maybe once every 3-4 weeks.

Chest - Mad gay, but I trim it every now and again ( don't really ever actually shave it). It actually itches more when it's longer than it does after a trim. (I also trim nipple hair, since I get random crazy long hairs that look ridiculous)

Pubes/balls - Get my balls nice and smooth every once in a while. I get OCD when doing it and it takes me forever so I dont do it often. Trim the bush down every week or so.

I trim the beard around my goatee about once a week, thats all. I have practically no back hair and a small patch on my chest so I don't bother with them.

No scissors or trimmers are going anywhere near my crotch so no on that one.

face every morning obviously, i grow facial hair so damn fast.

trim the pubes every week or so, shave the balls about the same. i get way more action when i'm cleaned up down there. Shave my ass when i feel it's getting too bad; it's like two brillo pads back there when i let it go wild.

Shave neck, trim face/mustache/chin very close, but not smooth. Shave pubic region, nose hair, and trim around my ears in between haircuts.

I usually go through many different types of facial hair styles, changing it up every couple of months. Mustache/goatee, Chinstrap, all smooth, mountain man look. Just really depends on how I feel at a given point.

Both in the shower with a gilette fusion (one blade for neck up one for neck down). Face with shaving cream, chest and below just water

no way man my balls are resilient as shit, I assumed it's the same for everyone? I use the razor my wife shaves her legs with, it's pretty gentle but I just bang away with reckless abandon and I've never had even a nick. I do it in the shower and it takes about 30 seconds.

come to think of it I'm more careful on my pubic region than I am on my balls.

I wish I could clean shave, but I keep my beard even though it's not long because my mustache is dark even when it's as shaven as I can get it, so it just looks odd as my beard area is clean while I've got a permanent shadow as a mustache.

yeah first time i ever shaved down there i did the water thing with reckless abandon. once you have your first cut on your balls? Never again. keep it dry, go slow. not worth the pain again.. owie.
