If it is wireless, you might need to charge it. Re update your drivers from the mouse's online software company, open the mouse software prog and do the settings, click apply. Also it might have an active gaming profile trying to take over the mouse settings upon launch of whatever program the controller is assigned to change settings with. If you are using Windows OS and have not installed the drivers that come with the mouse, it is probably using windows default mouse drivers.
