    Dreamweaver Template/CSS Issue

I have a template I was given to work on a website for my job, but the .css file did not come with it so I am limited in what I can change on there because of it.

I now have the .css file, but it keeps saying "Unable to open. "http://nameofwebsite/nameoffile.css" because it could not be found on your local disk. You may need to create the file or get it using the Site window, then try again"

I have the file, Dreamweaver sees it, I tried linking it to the current site, but I still can't make changes to the CSS.

Anyone have a clue as to WTF I need to do to fix it? Thanks in advance.

    1. You aren't limited at all, you can do w/e you want. That's the beauty of css.

    2. Clear your "manage your websites." Then include your project. Make sure to tell DW where the css is located. Make sure the css is listed next to your html in DW's tabs.

    3. All fails, open notepad2 and open both and make the changes.

I know that I have uber control with css, it just couldn't find the source file so I was limited .

I changed the file location in notepad and attached the css again and I can change things now, thanks!
