I did. I work at a 7-Eleven and we sold 5,500 dollars worth of tickets from 3-7 PM when the drawings closed lol. Also, just check around noon or something, its gonna take a while for them to release the data because of the influx of money and because they have to release 6 sets of winning numbers (main prize+5 maxmillions) across the country.

we did...8 bucks = 8 different last digits. I think we had 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 9....of course last digit had to hit 8.

This must be a sign. A friend of mine who always buys a ticket when I do, forgot to do it this time. I think this is a sign from the big guy....when my friend and I buy it this week, one of us are surely going to be the winner.

Just an aside story, a friend from work who runs a small office pool told me that there was a woman on the East coast who went to a store and wanted a $10 amount, the guy at the cash misunderstood and gave her $27 worth, so he said to just reverse it for a refund, and WITHIN that refunded ticket was the winning number for $30 million... Unless I was really poor I wouldn't bother reversing it. So crappy.

No winner of $50M Lotto Max jackpot

All the millions of Canadians dreaming of Lotto Max riches will just have to keep dreaming for another week.

There was no winning ticket for Friday's $50-million jackpot.

However, a winning ticket for one of the five Maxmillion prizes was sold in Atlantic Canada.

It was only the third time the jackpot has reached its top level since Lotto Max was launched in September.

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. spokeswoman Sarah Kiriliuk said ticket sales were up 84 per cent nationally compared with the previous week.

With no big winner Friday night, the next draw on June 11 will offer a jackpot of $50 million plus 20 Maxmillions for a potential $70-million payout by the lottery corporation.

This story seems to change...
here I heard someone bought a ticket on a hunch, then said "you know what, cancel it, I dont gamble, this is a mistake", ticket got refunded....but the number still exists in the computer, and the numbers were the winning numbers. Both in Eastern Canada though, Newfoundland iirc.

Oh, but it's not actually a lottery. It's a bonanza. Two totally different things where you buy things with numbers on them which are matched against randomly-drawn numbers because... um... hey, marbles!

Yes, I know they can't just call it the "Mog Lotto" for legal reasons, but it's 2 AM and I'm bored and this is vaguely funny to me at this hour.

Plus you can invest real-life lottery winnings and live off the interest, even if a stupidly large number of real winners blow the money on stupid shit and a scary number are bankrupt within a year or three. Lotteries are fine. People are retarded.

The thing I love about our lottery's is how the Federal tax doesn't rape your winnings. They may not be as big as some of the USA lotteries, but by golly, at least we get to keep most of it and win more frequently.
