Mid-Level IT position open, downtown Indianapolis area

    as title says,

Mid-Level IT position available in the downtown Indianapolis area. Very enjoyable, well paying job with full benefits and an awesome 3 person IT crew. Hours are great as well. We support a staff of 125, and a varying client list of 0-10,000, depending on the time of year.

Looking for someone with deep knowledge of windows XP/7. Knowledge of how to diagnose and repair virtually any problem that may arise revolving around anything Windows related. As you will be dealing with users who can't send emails because their outlook is at it's limit, although they will tell you they deleted all the emails they didn't need, but for some reason THEY JUST CAN'T SEND EMAILS, so much madness. Sometimes you will deal with someone who can't modify their .xlsx file, even though it says READ ONLY.

Mac OS, Linux experience preferred, but not 100% necessary. Also, Server 2008.

Basic/Intermediate computer/server hardware experience. We perform alot of hot swaps and rebuilds, mostly with zero notice.

Any cisco experience is a huge plus, 95% of all equipment used is Cisco

A+, Net+ helps. (Bachelors is always a huge plus)

I forgot to mention, need to be comfortable dealing with large amounts of people. On the rare occasion of a severe network outage, or something of similar nature you might have to address an audience of over 500 to explain the situation and maintain a sense of calm. This has never happened, but I deal (on a constant basis) with crowds of 75-100 on a weekly basis. Not to mention you will be in contact with the large base of on-site users we have daily. Be a people person. Can't hire neckbeards. Attire is business casual.

Basic electrical is awesome. Knowledge of RJ11/RJ45, and knowing the difference between A and B is a plus. Normally we have our maintenance guys do data runs, but we often find ourself doing quick runs and punchdowns. but this is an easily learned skill, youtube it.

If you would like to know more toss me a PM. As 1 of the 3 IT people here, i can personally vouch for how awesome this job is. I know I have added a little humor into my description of the job but that is the nature of this beast. This, however, is truly a great I.T. opportunity with growth opportunities that are quite impressive. Not to mention full insurance, 401k/Life, great Vacation options/etc etc. If you are a motivated IT wiz, with the drive to learn you would do well.

Mods, hopefully this is the right section. Just tryin' to help a fellow BG'r out. If you know someone who may be interested, let them know.

Out of curiosity, how much does this job pay? Just to see how that area compares to what I'm getting here in Arkansas. (tier 1 pay is 35-40k a year)

This completely depends on level of experience, and what the applicant is capable of. It is very close, and can exceed your range, but just depends.

All of the above certs aren't "necessary", if you know your shit and can show that during an interview we would be happy to bring you aboard. Cisco experience is truly an optional + here, as we don't often to any true setup for managed switches, etc. If we have a dire situation that calls for some quick fixes (STP shuts off port, loops, etc) we hop on it, but aside from that normally we just have a cisco tech remote in
