The Book/Movie "The Road"

I just saw the movie, and some friends who read the book were like "Well, they didn't show the most disturbing fucked up part."

Then they proceeded to not tell me the fucked up part, and Google is failing me.

Someone please explain, it can't be that bad.

I don't know, it wasn't that fucked up.

Maybe they were talking about one of the blood cults who were keeping prisoners alive in a cellar and slowly cutting pieces off of them to eat while the people stayed gangrenous.

Hm, yeah that's not THAT bad..... although maybe the film version of that scene might have been too much for even an "R" rating

There's worse in some of his other books. Blood Meridian has much worse scenes. They're making a movie based on it, but I'm not sure how they can manage that.

The Road is sort of a deviation from his style. It's much more optimistic than anything else he's done.
