Ballista Maniacs the 2nd - A New Hope

Who doesnt know anyways: Again some new and old questions.

Working on 2 projects at ffxiclopedia.org : Title and now lately (more or less forced) Ballista page. The old guide was ... and didnt help for my title research and all those theories i got.

1st of all: maybe you could read the Ballista guide, had to combine many (old) pages, my "knowledge" + the recent updates.
For any errors please post here. And many keyitems not edited, feel free.

2nd: I need a special items list , you can get at the Herald for Ballista points, when you have a chevron status especially when you are the current Gold Ballistar. Also PLEASE tell me if there is a Ballista Banner to get or a Adv. Certificate (furniture not the piece of junk from the beginning of the game)

3rd i have no idea which Ballista items are level resticted and at which level e.g. Giant's Drink i know, the rest = ???.

4th I have to know if the Ballista Royale titles can be seen in normal game and especially which title changer and ??? amount of gil it costs to change it e.g. to Final Ballistar SIREN SERVER go and tell me finally.

5th. 2 unknown titles: Matchmaker and Banneret ( have something to do with Ballista Banner - furniture); got some posts, how to get those but all were diffrent, so i need your own Title , not speculations and !! Banneret is 99% ingame included.
Sandoria title changer for 700 gil (datfile)+ datfile of the Ballista Banner and i got recently told when u get all titles specific to Ballista, you get this Banner + the title Banneret, when you speak with the Herald. Got around 5+ theories on my desk here. Matchmaker even more.

BRP will post here how he loves anything and everything ballista, whine about how no one else does, and the thread will die.

As far as the Royale titles are concerned, I believe you can retrieve them from the title NPC although I have not tried yet. I will try and get both the Final Ballistar and Ballistar Royale titles next time I logon and screenshot them for you

brenner's lots of fun, so is ballista.

my ls did a a mini tournament against other LSs in brenner, it was really thrilling to get on vent and plan out strategies and stuff. a totally different plane of thinking rather than siting in a little room waiting for a mob to get 100 tp to randomly do a move.

Regular potions only appear in low level ballista (lv30, maybe 40 too). If you buy a potion voucher from the mashall, it will only be cashed in if you participate in one of these ballistas. Same for regular ethers. I dont think max-potions and pro-ethers appear in lv 30/40 ballista either (At least, i've never gotten one.) Most if not all the other items work in any.

I think the ballistager title is earned by participating in ballista but not earning any other award (like any chevron). I believe, but am not sure, that the "Rook Buster" title comes from scoring a certain number of petra (or scoring a certain number of times). The others are pretty well known- Get the bronze-mythril-silver-gold ballistar titles by earning the respective chevron and accepting it. Earn the job-specific chevron (note that your tally for job-specifics is not broken down by job) by placing higher than anyone else in the match who had the same job as you. If you are both in the top 10, and the highest ranking for your job, you must choose between the two chevrons and titles (i.e. if you choosoe a gold chevron for first place and get the gold ballistar title, you can't get the job-specific title from the same match.)

** note ** Balli*star titles (EXCEPT Final Balli****star) titles can only be retrieved from title bards as long as you still have the chevron. Once the chevron's date is past and you participate in a ballista, you cannot switch to that title anymore. However, as long as you dont participate in another official ballista, you can return to the title.

If you really like to start a Ballista Guide i suggest reading This http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.htm...144084&num=100

Its not mine but a very skilled Ballista Player By the Name of Abbadon of Fenrir (Credit goes to him), Altho it is very old and doesnt contain BLU COR or PUP and some items aswell, but this is a start for you tho.

You Receive Ballista Points Through out the Battle by doing the following:
    * Scoring Petras
    * Participating in Engaging an Enemy and actually fighting instead of the "Hit and Run" Stradegy. Yes it has been proven.
    * Not Dieing and giving the opponent Gate Breech (Altho its been said if you die from Poison or any DoT effect, it wont count against your points, this has not been confirmed)
    * Heal Heal Heal, Ballista is a Team sport, and i know millions of White Mages that have done thier job on keeping the team alive and score and make as much as 250 if they are elusive to the Enemy.
    * Getting Kill shot doesnt give you any more points then the others around you, you just need to be around the person that died and the party member dealing the blow to get the Gate Breech (if your outside of party it wont affect you)
    * Using Items that benefit you will increase your Ballista Points very slightly. (Estamated to 1 Point per item.)

    Edit: Duh, i shoulda rememebered.

*You can also attain a bonus (Number is uncertain, it is around 20~30) when your team wins
    * YOU DONT HAVE TO DO ALL OF THIS TO GET 200 OR MORE, take a whm for example, obviously a simple hammer blow here and there will only ger him/her killed, Whats the whms real role of the game, take a wild guess.

Melee's Melee, Mages Cast. Blah blah blah.

Regardless of any of these things, you seem to get significantly more ballista points when you win than when you lose. Is there a set bonus to the winning team's players?

Thought that there is something fishy with Rank Ballista titles, so you can get them only back when you have the specific chevron for title or without doing any Ballista after you have earned e.g. Gold Ballistar.
    Would explain some things.

Anyways : Ilverin when you post the 2 royale titles (dont forget the amount of gil please ^^), those pictures get an honor place at the ffxiclopedia titles page, when you want.

and an Acknowledement for the first webpage that listed the amount of gil to get them back.

Added the suggestions of $omeguy to get Ballista points at the Ballista guide

Not sure if this works with the title "Ballista Royale", I got my "Final Ballistar" title after I went in diorama and came out.
