Resident Evil 5! | Switch Edition - 2019

Okay, with the game coming up next week at the suggestion of someone else, we should have a full topic for this game, instead of the RE5 demo. We're about a week away for launch, this should be one epic ass game looking at the trailers.

Like I said before in the other topic be VERY careful what sites you go to and search for RE wise, or you might end up blowing a huge secret for yourself. You know people are pretty big douches when it comes to revealing stuff, so please definitely use spoiler tags if you get the game early.

I already had 2 things kinda spoiled for me. One was while reading a preview of all things a few weeks ago, they were making remarks was racist and whatnot, and let something spill they shouldn't have. Unless it's not what I think. Then today on Gametrailers.com there was a user posted movie on the side saying the spoiler in the title. I love those people. *smack* What was posted is nothing shocking if you payed any attention to the trailers and Wesker in the trailers, from what he was talking about and a couple other hints here and there. It's pretty obvious actually. For someone that completely avoids that kinda stuff though it sucks.

I didn't watch it, cause I don't know in what manner said spoiler is, but I think I'll be avoiding gamefaqs, gametrailers, and any other game related sites til next weekend.

Anyhow, I am taking the day off for this, and hope gamestop has a midnight launch.

Anybody else really psyched for this? Personally, I am really hoping for a Wesker fight. Looking at the trailer, I think you do at least get to scrap with him, I can't imagine anyone owning Wesker. Only way Chris could feasibly beat him is by getting an injection of his own. But him doing that is highly unlikely

I can't wait for this! I've got Friday off, and I'm planning co-oping it the entire day. I'm pretty sure that all GameStops are doing a Midnight launch, but I'd call to make sure.

I ordered the special edition, aka the copy of the game that comes with a bunch of crap I'll never use.

I'm pretty excited for this game, also Mercenaries mode is back now, all you have to do is beat the game once to unlock it.

Im curious to know if RE5 still has that suspense of not knowing what comes out from the next corner. Does it still have those moments of trying to solve a puzzle of some sort to move on in the game or has RE moved more along the lines of being a mindless shooter where you cant run out of bullets?

I've played through the first three chapters so far, and I would say the series is continuing down the action route with this installment. It's a shame, because the atmosphere and suspense of the early ones (especially Code Veronica on the Dreamcast) were what really hooked me into the series.

Still, it's an awesome game, and I don't think fans will be disappointed. Graphics and sound are top-notch, and the bosses are fun. I just wish the series still had that eeriness that made you think twice about going down a creepy hallway.

I got the import myself and have been playing coop w/ my gf and we're at the end of the 2nd chapter, game's fun so far, but the no run+shoot deal still bugs me D: I agree w/ elmer tho, the suspense the first few games brought were top-notch, but either way the game's a lot of fun. Bosses have been fun so far.

At the moment I am in Iraq, so its really hard to get information within the 30min block I have to use the computer (yeah internet cafes are gay). Anyway, can anyone tell me if co-op playing crosses over to from ps3 to xbox360. What I mean is, is it possible for a xbox 360 person to play with ps3 player. I think I know the answer, but I just want to be sure.

I don't think it is. I don't know of any games that are cross platform, save ffxi. MS has it's own servers it uses.

mmm blonde jill give me. I read from the RE wikia that wesker dies from 2 RPG shots while claire, sheva, and jill are flying away can anyone confirm that? Also the game looks and feels too much like RE4 think I'll skip out on it for awhile didn't really like 4 besides the third person gameplay.
