Computer crashing(freezing) on install

Been trying to install SC2 after I downloaded it a little bit ago on my computer. Every time I install it gets to random percents and my computer will freeze. Blizzard's installer makes my computer run absurdly slow sometimes but it's never actually frozen it. When I was installing the SC2 beta I actually got 2 blue screens but on the third install it was fine. I've attempted for the fourth time just now and it froze again. First time was 36%, second was 11%, third was 24%, fourth was 29%. I have 156 GB free and my specs are AMD dual core 6000+ 3.00GHz with 2.00 GB RAM using windows vista. Every attempt after the first was after a fresh restart when my computer was done booting.

Could possibly be a bad install or an issue with HDD, possibly installing on bad part of the HDD. Maybe try checking the hard drive out to see if any bad sector's.

This isn't a laptop is it? Could be overheating mid-install. Actually, it probably wouldn't blue screen if that were the case.
