Internet streaming (Video/Music) from one's PC

So... if a person happened to get a FiOS 25/25 mbit connection, does anyone know of a good way to stream internet video/music from their PC?

For example, if the recipient is at a relative or friend's place with good downstream.

Orb was interesting until I saw "how it works" requires logging into their mycast service :/

Use VLC and stream to a flv service such as justin.tv, ustream, or veetle. Just keep the stream private and you'll be fine.
