I watched an episode today. Girl at school accidentally left her backpack on the floor. Four kids take it and run away. The school's surveillance camera could ID two of the guys. So she sues those two for the items of the bag.
They kept insisting the whole time they had nothing to do with it, it was "our friend Anton". But that they just happened to be around the guy.
So anyway Judge Judy catches them in a couple lies so she asks the girl for the items in the bag (to assess value). At one point the girl is like "my earpiece". And one of the idiots responds "there was no earpiece!". Whole audience (and Judy) laughs, and the guy gets all pissed cause he doesn't get what's funny....

Randomly saw my family friend(basically an aunt with no blood connection) on that show(or maybe it was one its clones - but almost certain it was judge judy). Such an unlikely occurrence. It was made better when they quoted her son, who I know of course, and he had made comments against her which cost her the case.
