SAM Gear still holding up?

I'm just coming back to FFXI after a year 1/2 break, when I stoped playing in March 09, I knew what gear I was after, but now with the new expansions i'm not so sure... some help would be greatly appreciated. ^^ As far as I know, these are the gear sets that were top of the line when I quit, are they still holding up? And why has Haub +1 and Hagun gotten so cheap?

Why someone would want to compare 5 hit fudo to 6 hit gekko when woe has same daley as hagun.
