Radiant Silvergun, the spiritual progenitor of Ikaruga, is coming exclusively to the Xbox 360 next year, Microsoft said at its Tokyo Game Show news conference. The title is being developed by Treasure, the original studio behind both games.

Radiant Silvergun, an arcade favorite brought to the Sega Saturn in 1998, will feature online cooperative play and improved graphical fidelity on the Xbox 360. It was one of five titles coming out next year under exclusive partnerships between Japanese developers and Microsoft. Other titles included Fire Pro-Wrestling from Spike. Kinect-enabled exclusives included Haunt from Masaya Matsuura, the creator of Parappa the Rapper and Vib Ribbon; Project Draco, from the studio Grounding Inc.
The game everyone assumed Treasure would never re-publish is finally being reborn. Kinda wish it was coming to PSN (D-Pad.) but pretty stoked for this. This game is pretty hyped but it truly is one of the best shooters of all-time, and my personal favorite. I bought the game for around $150 in 2002 only to have it stolen from my house a year later.

If you are a fan of shooters and have never played this, you are in for a treat.
