Thanks for sharing Tachikoma ! :D
It will be very helpful
big ups Tachi! thanks
Hello,
I have a problem with the parser. I can't seem to have it work properly.
The "damage done" tab isn't updating as I play. If I click on another tab, I can see the info there, but when I try to get back to "damage done" tab, the app sort of freezes until I get back to another tab.
I checked my java version and it's up to date.
I have lrParser and it works fine. I guess it has something to do with the mods.
I don't know what to do.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks
What's the sysreqs on this?
XP/Vista/7 + JRE 1.6.x?
should work with any version of windows as long as it has Java installed and updated, I recomend Java version 6 since its the most up to date and safest out there but 1.5 is what the code is written against.
I've noticed that your parser seems to be parsing less damage done than the LRParser. I ran Ifrit this weekend and a EU ls mate couldn't run your and os i told him about LRParser, every single fight the numbers were different. Not sure what is going on^^>
Should have nothing to do with the coding. lrParser's timing/capturing is less refined than TachiParser's, but the exact same recording can be done with either client as long as the user isn't making any mistakes.
I got the same problem, the "Damage done" tab is always freezing for me. Im always using CopyToClipboard to see the results. Also we have a guy called "The Boss" and none of the parsers wont recognize his dmg done, only he can see the dmg as "You". Thanks for sharing this anyway.
Edit: Im from Germany too.
I'm from Belgium and a friend of mine living in the same country has the same problem.
After more testing, I noticed that the damage done won't update, but if I roll over the undisplayed result, they start to appear progressively.
But I have to roll over them like crazy >.>
I'm still using lrParser until I can get thois one to work.
It's a shame because your mods are great!
I wish I could "restart", "screnshot" and select a target on lrParser ; ;
Name starts with "The" which is a keyword when reading log files and used to extract player skills which breaks the parser for him sorry nothing I can do for him. Tell him to change his name for 2.0 x.x but by then they should have an official API for making things like this parser.
Parser seems to be working for me other than 2 things:
The EXP counter doesn't seem to reset when I restart it (not sure if this is intended but there it is). I wish I earned 200kxp/hour. =p
Whenever people use other languages in chat it appears to pick it up. I had a party earlier which had the proper player names show up, but had additional entries for these players that had their name followed by a string of what seems to be random unicode letters. I'm assuming this is the parser picking up something that appears to be battle text (maybe they typed a number or something) but is just Japanese chat somehow. Maybe this related to why EU people are having trouble?
Just to clarify a bit, me and my friend are both form Belgium AND playing in english (eventhough we speak french and there is a french version of the game).
Also when we use lrParser we often have error pop-ups when recieving a/t for instance or when the tank partialy parries. I don'ty know if it is related.
I tested your new release Tachikoma-kun. It looks great. I still have the same problem with the damage done tab, but I like the new interface.
Good job!
I was thinking that perhaps the Windows unicode settings themselves are playing havoc with how the parser scans for things. Mine's set on Weeb... er, Japanese.
Edit: not the most excellent screenshot to show off what I meant, but if you look at the last line, I have a few of those for basically everyone in the party. Didn't necessarily start with a Chinese character too, sometimes it had diamonds and checks and such, which is why I'm thinking language-related/unicode issues.
Oh and you can see how the xp doesn't reset either. haha
Edit again:
This might be slightly more useful:

changing the non-unicode settings didn't help. Thanks for the suggestion anyway :D
Sweden (Eu derp) English Client, Windows 7. Java updated. Still have the same problems with damage done tab as mentioned in this thread earlier
