    Calling all Audiophiles.

I fucking destroyed my pair of Sennheiser's vacuuming the floor (sucked up the wire and it ripped that bitch apart before I could turn it off) so I'm looking for new headphones. Need some suggestions.

So far I've been looking at Grado, Beyer, Audio Technica, Sennheiser & Stax.

Leaning towards Grado since all the reviews I've been reading up on + forum discussions about their headphones are nothing but positive, and they look goddamn sexy.

Grado - SR325is Headphones - Turntablelab.com - Is what I'm looking at now. Small price to pay for sound quality & apparently epic comfort (Sennheiser's squished my head a lot, got really uncomfortable after an hour or two).

So, feedback? Anyone out there have a pair of Grados or any of the above brands I listed? Although everyone and their mother owns Sennheiser nowadays so w/e.

    I have a pair of 325is. They're god.

Make sure you have a good amp though.

    I still have sennheiser headphones...

Rule of thumb - when something goes mainstream, it ceases to be good.

I love my sennheisers... I think you just have the wrong pair. My studio pair sometimes hugs my head but it keeps the sound from escaping.

They have a pretty good set of noise-cancelling headphones out there. Can't remember the model number and I'm about to go so I can't be bothered to google.

Are they completely beyond home repair? Just asking because a lot of things are repairable for less than buying new. Soldering iron and some patience can go a long way. Not sure if your are a gadgeteer or not.

I use a pair of really old Audio Technica monitor headphones I bought ages ago for my home studio but my needs are not professional. Also if you are using them for pro audio they will not sound like regular headphones if they happen to be pro audio headphones like the ones that have the flat sound for monitoring. Not sure if you are/ idk.

(OOT your sig banana pic freaks me the hell out).

Necrobumping the living shit out of this thread but I was wondering if anyone could hook me up with a decent pair of earbuds.

I walk to campus daily and listen to my zune every day, but the wires to all of my earbud pairs keep breaking at the end where you connect them to the mp3 player, so I'm left with sound in only 1 ear.
I used skullcandy and the standard zune earbuds but they are both garbage now at this point.

Any recommendations for earbuds that won't crap out on me like my last 2 pairs?
