    Skill / hour grinding?

I'm curious what's the best skill / hour people have seen while grinding? I'm particularly interested in DoH classes, but DoW too. If you got exceptionally good skill / hour at any point, post what rank you were, and what you were killing / crafting at the time.

I did the firefly/bat cave just south of bloodshore and the puks around the tower just south of that for 30 minutes each. I switched between conj and thm to minimize the effect of weapon damage. The cave mobs were all blue and netted just under 5300 skill/hr while the puks were all green/orange (mostly orange) and netted 4900 skill/hr.

I used only spirit dart and ws, no spells. Average kill times were around 45 seconds each for blues and just over a minute for the puks.

Even though I tried minimize the effect of gear damage by the end of second set my budding maple +1, dec scepter and shield were all at 1 durability.

Both conj and thm were 17 I believe.

    In a duo PT on Conjurer I was able to get about 6k - 6.3k /hr. Gladiator was getting about 5 - 5.2k /hr on Glad + about 3k - 4k /hr on shield.

That's pretty darn good. Which crabs were you fighting?

Did 4 person party, Ranks 20-23 today in Coerthas, west of Camp Dragonhead (CON MAR PUG GLA) killing Hippocerfs (blue > yellow con). I was making about 4-5k/h. Now don't take Gladiator as a good gauge of this. Our MAR was getting closer to 6500/h because my class splits to 500skill/battle cap between Sword and Shield. I never got more than 375sword in a battle and the rest in shield. Rarely did I get 500 between them however, usually more like 350 together (~250sword/~100shield on average, though not per fight, not even close).

Partying is so much better than soloing 20+ that soloing is worthless for all intents and purposes. Soloing at lvl21 I was getting in the range of 4-5.5k an hour (didn't do it for that long) but in a 3 man party I was getting a solid 8-9k in Cassiopeia Hollow. I dispute S-E's claim that this is a solo-friendly game when soloing is twice as slow.

9k/hr. on Aldgoat Nannies near Bloodshore. Wonderful spot. Took ARC from 14-16 in a 3-person PT (ARC, PGL, CON). I was still using a Maple Bow+Weathered Arrows and my accuracy was atrocious. Probably could have earned more with a better bow and +ACC food.

Well, you CAN actually grind solo on all classes. Yeah it'd take progressivly longer, but it's still possible. Also got about 8k/hr in Cass. Hollow on crabs w/ GLD, ARC, PUG, CON (healing), CON(nuking(me), and THM.

Sounds like exactly how it should be.

Although when doing guildleves solo you should be getting more than 6k an hour in the optimal scenario. For the casuals who have no time to group.

I was pretty worried about solo emphasis, but I'm glad it's being done this way. Grouping is the norm while soloing is not impossible.

What Hyan said above basically. It's solo friendly in the fact that yes, you can solo and level. Is it the best way though? No, which im honestly glad about. It's a pain to find groups at times, but just doing a shout at any camp or town usually will net you with a few people interested in doing a skill up group. Especially post 20 where people are always looking for someone to duo/trio/group with. Also you can just get mates from your Linkshell to come group too.

And what is great is that it's not just about 6 people minimum&maximum with needing 1 class out of 20 for 3 different roles to function correctly. You are rewarded for duoing, trioing and so on instead of punished for doing anything with less or more than 6 people. It doesn't even end at 6 person parties from what I've heard but can go up to 15 players.

Once the search system makes more sense and groups become even easier to set up even for GL purposes this should be great.

This really is awesome. We had like a 10 hour party yesterday and people kept coming/leaving and it never hurt EXP. Sometimes we'd have 5 people, other times 10, and it was pretty good all the time.

I've gotten 8-9k an hour mining tier 3. Too bad there's this random class rank nerf after 20k exp.
