    FFXIV Crashing

No idea why it's doing this

    All my drivers are updated
    Win7 is updated
    No problems during install
    Game is on normal settings
Game still has me logged in while the crash happens

    This is what happens

    Any ideas?

A solid color when your PC crashes usually (not always) indicates that there's something wrong with your GPU, perhaps incorrectly installed drivers.

Even though you said your drivers are all updated, you should still reinstall your video card drivers to see if that helps.

(1)First step is to download your video card drivers again from the manufacturer's website (don't install/uninstall drivers yet). Make sure they're not beta drivers.

(2)Download Driver Sweeper, reboot into safe mode and run the program.

(3)Check the boxes next to NVIDIA Display (or ATI) and NVIDIA PhysX.
    (4)Analyse
    (5)Clean

Make sure you don't check the Chipset box, or any other box for that matter.

(6)Reboot windows normally and install fresh drivers from the manufacturer. It might fix this issue you're having.

Have you tried using older drivers (I'd suggest 10.4a and below). Some people have issues like that with some of the newer drivers in other games. With the way ati brings out new drivers out every month they tend to release some pretty crappy ones at times.

I though that might be the case but then I'd have to go back 2 previous drivers, since I recently got this issue on the drivers before the lastest ones and figured updating would help, but im stilling getting this issue

I'd go back a good bit more 10.4 and lower are meant to be some of the best from what I've read. Saying that I use the latest one myself.

Just do a system restore back to the point before you started making many changes, I did the same myself.

When you look in event viewer are you getting a line that says Exemption code and a number something like 0xc0000000005? (that's not 100% correct, but very close). If you are, try testing your RAM. Mine would crash after 3-6 minutes of being in the game, and after hours and hours of updating and reinstalling and doing everything including buying a new graphics card it was one little stick of RAM that was faulty causing all my problems.

Good luck!!! I know first hand how frustrating this is.
