Assigning G500 Mouse button for Ventrilo PTT?

I searched and tried to get to use this button for my ventrilo PTT but it wont reconginize it but I can use this button for just about everything else :/

EDIT: i got it to work, but I had to assign it to a Keystroke(F9) and then just set PTT button to F9. lol

Okay so how did you assign that button to F9? I have looked everywhere in Logitech Setpoint but I could NOT find anything to set it to F9 or any other button.
