Blue Gartr Meal Time: Bacon optional? Bacon required.

I'm living on my own now.. and now I get to cook for me myself and I. Fucking awesome. Post pics of what is for dinner, and be ready to provide recipe's if you are asked. Also, rate the meal based on flavor, if you would recommend etc. Sometimes shit is good, but I would never cook it for anyone else(my recipe for Ramen, for example.)

I'll update this post in a little when my dinner is done cooking, but since its 5:00 CST and its getting near dinner time for everyone except califags I decided to go ahead and make this thread.

    Blue Gartr Meal Time, trick.

Eggplant Parm. total cost of the meal? $4. Gonna last me a really long time, especially if i eat it with noodles.
    Spoiler: show
making superior angelhair on the stove right now.

I used a simple recipe online, then added a few finely finely chopped Habaneros sans seeds to it. Can't wait to try it.

Don't have a pic but my bf has been cooking this up from time to time lately http://vegetarian.about.com/od/soups...spicychili.htm

It makes a ton so you'd be eating on it for a week prolly, it's also REALLY spicy if you use the recommended items (ie hot salsa). It tastes great though, but chopping garlic takes a bit of time. Well worth it, garlic is fucking delicious.

^ That sounds amazing. I know what i'm making tonight. Guess I gotta go buy a pot. You guys should put up some good slow-cooker recipies. I know I could google it but I love hearing unique ideas from people who come up with thier own stuff.

Fried rice - asparagus, shrimp, eggs garnished with celantro.

    Spoiler: show

Pan fried pork with tofu. Garlic butter shrimp and some asian veggy i can't remember the name of.

    Home made beef burger.

If you're looking for something cheap to make : Noodle Soup.

Hit up your local asian grocery store and pick up a different variety of dried noodles. Try to avoid the instant ramen ones. A few boxes of Chicken broth or chicken powder + water. Some meat and veggy. Can easily spend $2-3 on something that is healthy and fast. Could make a lasagna too as you can make a big one and eat it for a few days.

2 ribeye steaks, 1.5 cups of veggies, 1 cup of brown rice and creatine drink from Universal Storm that tastes like grape juice. I add about 1 tbs of Cinnamon to help with my insulin from the brown rice and the entire thing took like 5-10 min to cook under 5 bucks. wallyworld is an awesome place, sometimes man

Vandole get yourself a membership to Sam's Club or Costco so you can buy in bulk. That's step number one. Here's a quickish recipe just off the top of my head that I use. I can give you a more extensive list later on I don't feel like raiding my recipe box.

    Cheesy Chicken Broccoli Potato Soup
    32 oz can Chicken Broth
    1/3 cup onion(chopped)
    12 oz frozen broccoli
    2 cups of milk
1 1/3 cups instant mashed potatoes
2 cups cooked chicken(you can buy precooked canned chicken)
    1 cup shredded swiss cheese
    1/2 teaspoon salt

Heat broth, onion, and broccoli to boiling.
Reduce heat, cover and let simmer for 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
Stir in milk and potatoes continue stirring until well mixed.
Stir in cooked chicken and cheese.
Cook over low heat for another 5 - 7 minutes.
    Enjoy
