How did Mitsutoshi Gondai do it? (HUD for G13)

The battle director uses a G13 and put his screen like this:

That is exactly how I've always had to set my hotbars for any mmo I use my 13 for. I've always needed to use an addon for it, though. I've stuck to the controller because of this.

Any ideas how he was able to do it without an addon?

Doing what exactly? The skillbar layout? Three horizontals with the fourth and eighth slots left blank, then hotkey'd his G13 to those keyboard combos he set I assume, with mouse buttons acting as shit/ctrl modifiers.

Ok that's possible but a pain. I think you have to set the keybinds in an weird way to make it work. You can't set the g13 that way.

It's not really that much of a pain, I had mine set up this way for my naga mouse. You have hot bar one keybinds set up as 1 2 3 space ctrl+1 ctrl+2 ctrl+3 space shift+1 shift+2 shift+3, and so on for hot bars 2 and 3. (or use what ever the g13 uses for defaults for those keys)

As awesome as that setup is, I don't think I could break myself of WASD and use the thumb stick to move around. Setting up a G13 for that should be easy enough though.

You get used to it, but I've always used addons to make the macros look like that on the screen. My brain needs it to look the same as the keybindings I am using on the G13.
