More Darth Maul plz
https://io9.gizmodo.com/clone-wars-i...ted-1827728517Originally planned as the final end for Clone Wars—set after the climax of the show’s fifth season, and just moments before the start of Revenge of the Sith—the storyline was meant to re-unite Ahsoka Tano and her master, Anakin Skywalker, for one last adventure together as they liberated Mandalore from the rule of Darth Maul. Speaking to the Star Wars website in the wake of the news, Clone Wars executive producer Dave Filoni noted the satisfaction in finally getting to complete the story of the show as he originally intended
Didn't the Emperor defeat Maul already though..?
He was, yes, and it was the first time the emperor actually fought at a level you've only seen Yoda perform. As the article states "originally planned", I'm sure things have since changed, given how the prior season played out. There's still major conflict on Mandalor, in Rebels, which is set much later, so there's still plenty of room for lore to be expanded there, if that is what they plan to do.
Sidious killed Savage Opress but let Maul do his thing. Mandalore never got resolved in Season 5 since it finished with Ahsoka leaving the Jedi Order.
Trailer starts at 52:21 (should be set there).
Nobody's ever really gone huh?

The final arc, the one we've been waiting for, is finally starting!
As much as I've grown to like Ahsoka, I despised the last arc; felt like it didn't need to exist at all. Also, wtf is with the music direction suddenly changing to the movie themed music, as well as the intro mimicking the movies? Felt so out of place.
Yeah, it definitely felt like a filler arc.
