Hello! Let’s all tread together the treacherous path of the final day of the work week joined by some great music!

Happy Black Friday, everyone! And I also hope you enjoyed Thanksgiving! If you live in a place where such things are celebrated, of course!

Down here we don't "celebrate" either of them, but my mom does like to have a family turkey dinner. And while it's not a holiday, many stores are adopting a Black Friday motif, with discounts that are never as deep as those seen in the US but at least they recognized digital was a menace and reacted accordingly. You could say they're throwing us a bone...

BUT I DIGRESS!

Today it's all about Undertale, the surprise 8-bitish RPG available on Steam. I was gifted a copy by Twitter friend Tako and gave it a shot yesterday during my lunch break. It's funny, interesting, and combat - in particular the fact that you can win every battle without killing anyone - is tricky but fun.

Today's track plays in an early zone of the game that's covered in snow, and I can say the theme fits perfectly! It's so... well, I was gonna say that the theme reminds me so much of snow-related themes from the SNES era, but the fact is most tracks do. It's a mixture of 8-bit and 16-bit stuff that sounds really good.

Undertale is on Steam for $9.99, and if you like game music and/or RPGs be sure to take a look. Happy weekend, everyone!

Game on!

Something to note is the game's creator, Toby Fox, got his bones doing work on Homestuck's music crew

Not just him, but all of it is great, but there is a LOT of it
