BG Forums just turned 21 years old, and we're now forced to censor it like Tumblr in 2018.

We thought it would stop with Tumblr, but it spread the same year to Patreon, and we got a break until 2020.

The same year covid started, we saw Discord adding safety nets and automated surveillance everywhere, like if Stanislav was the police of morality. But it didn't take long for Patreon and DeviantArt to quickly follow too.

In 2022, the antiquated Newgrounds was forced to comply by putting everything behind a registration wall. Then in 2023 imgur was forced to delete millions of images from their site in the name of puritanism.

Thanks to the currently elected officials of the UK, Australia, Canada, and probably soon the USA, the Internet is becoming a well-trimmed garden, without weeds, dark corners, or oddities.

TLDR: Hundreds of thousands of images from the BG Bucket and thousands of NSFW posts are going to be nuked, so backup while you can.
