It's that time again, I figured I'd make this thread early since December is sooooo dead with new releases besides like... Tron.

Much like last year, looks like we're going to have a relatively packed first 3 months of 2011 to follow a somewhat lackluster 2010 holiday season. Some really exciting titles coming up, what are you planning on getting?

I suspect some of those dates will change, I can't imagine S-E will release dissidia and 3rd birthday on the same day. Also I don't know about F3AR and Crysis 2 sharing a release date, same with Bulletstorm and Killzone 3.

Day 1 purchases for me include KH RE Coded, Dead Space 2, Dungeon Siege 3, Dragon Age 2, and Okamiden. I've got my eye on Knights Contract, Trinity Souls of Zill O'll, Deus Ex 3, and Bulletstorm as well. Also for those of you who have a Wii and haven't played the JP version, Lost in Shadow is awesome.

What about all of you? Discuss!

Dragon Age 2 is a day one buy. Really interested in ME2, but I detest space, so I'm not sure how much I'll enjoy it. That's it.

Yeah I noticed the large number of PSP titles too... conversely, it's kinda sad how few Wii releases there are, I mean de Blob 2 I guess but it must hurt for nintendo to lose it as an exclusive. Other than that there's just the Mario Sports Mix and *maybe* Zelda, although I suspect it'll get pushed back to April. I really hope the skimpy Q1 release schedule means more people notice Lost in Shadow, as it really is one of the best games I've played for Wii in a long time.

2010 is year of the PSP imo. There's been countless awesome games this year and even more to come it seems!

My for sure buys are LBP2, KZ3, and ME2 (although I'm in the middle of making a new PC so I'll probably buy it for that instead of PS3). I still need to try Dragon Age, I still haven't even opened it yet because of Black Ops and school, but I've heard nothing but great things so I'll most likely pick up the second one as well. Maybe Crysis 2 as well depending on what people think of the gameplay, but if it's just a benchmark game then I'll pass.

I believe Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is coming out in march for psp. Supposed to be a pretty big rpg but I'm not quite familiar with the series just yet.

Atredies I honestly cant believe you're going to buy another Obsidian game, but anyway.

Mass Effect 2 for PS3, Dead Space 2, Dragon Age 2, BulletStorm, Killzone III, MVC 3, Deus Ex, and Crysis II.

Will be getting all the EA titles free, so just a few day one purchases for myself.

not sure about Okamiden but I'll at least download it. I don't know if I'll buy a PSP for Tactics Ogre (though there would be plenty of other games to pick up if I do), and Alice is going to be dependent upon reviews (not looking for A+ 95/100 scores, just want to read the reviews and make sure they didn't fuck it up too badly).

can't wait for MvC3 though. dusted off MvC2 last night and remembered why I love the Vs. series.

For ME2 for the PS3, are they doing anything to counter the fact that PS3 has no ME1 users? Has there been any mention if the different story lines completely taken out (like how ME2 who the council was could be dictated by first game played but if you chose base ME2 plot you had no choice?

they announced a few weeks back that PS3 users are going to have access to an interactive comic that summarizes the events of ME1 and allows you to make all the relevant storyline choices, and that the PS3 version would not have additional content beyond what's available for 360
