goblin, should I warlock or mage?
goblin, should I warlock or mage?
As long as it isn't rogue. when I was playing like 60-70% of gobbos were rogues. and majority of worgen were druids.
mage will forever be op in pvp and pve, so I'd go with that.
also the goblin starter area is fucking awesome
when I first played wow for BC I played a BE lock and loved it. never got to play a mage really but it looks fun just don't want to dump time into mage if I don't know if I'll like it :/
they are basically the same thing anyway but mage is more direct dmg and lock is dots. Plus if you want to get any xp through bgs, locks are op at 85, but low lvls pop easily (espeically if you don't have heirloom gear).
So mage might be a little less frustrating
plus fear etc but polymorph is pretty cool.
for grinding what spec should I chose on mage?
I only ever took mage to like 47 I think, but iirc it was fire. Which tbh kinda sucked only because low lvl dungeons trash mobs died in like 2 seconds, and you're spells take forever to cast. easy mode that way though.
Ice mage has more survivability in pvp, so depending on which you're planning on doing more often I'd do one of those.
aye nigga I repped that mage to da fullest. I say dat nigga rite thur can nuke n shit, betta run tho so you dont get raped by pallys n shit do
If you want to play a mage, level as frost, everything dies in a shatter and you never run OOM due to frost's efficiency and the replenishment talent. If you have heirloom trinkets and gear that will make it even easier. Try to find a guild that has the +10% exp bonus. Alternatively, I would say warlocks are stronger than mages in PVP right now, but I can't speak for PVE. Both classes are solid choices, although I would recommend trying out a shadow priest as they do the most damage of any caster in PVP at the moment and they have a nice mixture of dots and direct damage. Double offensive and defensive dispels, off heals, huge CC chains with fear/silence/horror, and dispersion on a one minute cooldown, along with fade and the mooncloth four piece set bonus for snare immunity make shadow a force to be reckoned with.
you know I was gonna do shadow but I remember in WoTLK people saying it sucked so I kinda had a bad concept of shadow priests.... how is the grinding for shadow right now?
Leveling as shadow is slow and painful, especially at lower levels. However, if you don't mind healing you can grind dungeons with instant queues for quick and easy exp. I've leveled my last few characters purely by doing dungeons until level 80, I can't stand questing anymore. Or you can invest about $20 for Pirox and set it to grind battlegrounds for you since BGs give exp now. The risk of getting banned for botting battlegrounds is non-existent, I have several friends that have botted all day and all night for years and use the honor to buy mats from the honor vendors to sell for some nice gold. I wouldn't recommend using Pirox for gathering ore and herbs though, that carries a very high ban risk.
