PSP sound recording stuff

What exactly do I need to look for to record sound for the PSP? It's something like a male to male cables, right?

Basically if the device you're recording the sound into accepts 3.5mm, that would work. That would be like plugging headphones into the PSP, except instead of speakers on the other end it's a sound recording device.
