Halloween Help

That time of the year where there is a limited window for creating/ordering halloween costumes. I have a large office party and an evening party so I am trying to figure out a good idea. I will also need to buy/create a costume for my husband that preferably matches.

I have green shoulder length curly hair, which I would prefer not to cover up in a wig.

At first I was thinking of being Rydia. This would mean creating a cape, armwarmer/sleeve things, covering boots in gold, finding green leggings. Issue is that I can't imagine what I would do to make for my husband -- would certainly take a lot of time! Also, its not as forgiving if I'm not accurate.

Other ideas so far would be Lime Chiffon from Strawberry Shortcake, or Patty O'Green from Rainbow Brite. These costumes would be easier to hack and their male counterparts would be easy costumes. But is it weird to be a minor character? Another Idea would be Mokey Fraggle from Fraggle Rock -- not sure how easy it is to be recognizable in that case.

So many mediocre ideas :/ hard to choose. Anyone have opinions or better ideas?

As for your husband, simply kill him, chop him into pieces and put him in a garbage bag that you would carry around with you to the party.

Opa Gangnam style! Get a cheezy blue suit and put ducktape around the sleeves, pockets, wig, black frame glasses and a bowtie. You can dress up as a k-pop star.

Awesome, except I'm sure I wouldn't be able to get away with murder, so probably best to avoid. C.C. would end up being too much work.

This is pretty much a given. One of the best things about Halloween is knowing that chicks are going to wear barely anything, and freeze their asses of doing it.

A Rydia costume would take sooo much time especially if you are going for accuracy, on top of that making an equally awesome costume (maybe Cecil Harvey) for your husband to match Rydia would take just as much time. Maybe if you start working on it now for next year?

I don't think it's weird at all, easier costumes don't mean less recognizable. In fact I've noticed that they're just as recognizable; plus who in your office party is going to recognize Final Fantasy characters more than Strawberry Shortcake characters? Unless you have like the coolest co-workers/work environment ever. If you want to do something easy/recognizable, you should go for Adventure Time characters. I'm planning on being Marceline and she's very easy and has multiple outfits, but I understand you don't wanna wear a wig (cos' wig styling can be a butt :I). So I second the Saria idea. Or you and your husband can be Finn and Fiona, you can wear hats and not have to worry about your hair at all! Or a green haired Marceline, Zombie Princess Bubblegum, Ghost Princess... I'll get back to you if any more ideas pop up. Good luck!
