    DRG questions.

On the Empathy merits screen, what does it mean when it says the 200 experience points part?

Do Wyverns lvl = ilvl of Main hand weapon?

Does "status parameters" increasing of Wyvern do anything if it exists at it's capped lvl whether it's 99 (pre-adoulin weapon) or 100+ (adoulin weapon)?

Does Empathy still "take" the users Pro 5 and/or Shell 5 instead of just copying it?

Do Adamantoise family mobs resist Piercing at all?

What is order of best DRG WS after assuming Stardiver > Drakesbane > rest, what would be best 3rd WS in Adoulin gear?

What's Store TP to aim for with a 492 delay /WAR?

If Soul Jump multi-hits, do all hits crit?

Thanks for any help, new to DRG.

    1. It means just that. When you use spirit link your wyvern will get 200 xp per merit allowing you to actually lvl it up in non xp areas/fights.

    2. yes

    3. yes

    4. no idea

    5. not specifically but high def and pdt often and weird ghetto gaurds

    6. Probably penta but theres no reason not to have at least stardriver and/or drakesbane.

    7. Kinda a complicated question with too little info. https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/TP will answer how much tp you get per hit and you can figure out builds from there

    8. yes

What's Store TP to aim for with a 492 delay /WAR?
You would need 26 stp to 6-hit /war.
You would need 51 stp to 5-hit /war.

Just off the top of my head:
    ffxiah.com/item-sets/280211

Assuming fully upgraded Mikinaak pieces and DA augments on Cizin pieces yields +117 str +173 att, +26 stp, 19% DA (+10 from /war),2% QA, 26% haste, and 91 acc +67 dex.
With conserve tp, the massive amounts of double attack, and jumps thrown in the mix, you'll probably be getting tp faster than most everyone else.
Also notable about this set, is very minimal weapon skill gear swaps. A lot of these pieces are top notch in their slot in STR for stardiver, so switch out to your gorget and belt and whatever else you feel like adding in.
This is my personal opinion, however, and I myself haven't gotten the proper augments, nor have I gotten ahold of an Upukirex. Also, on my server, Duplus Grips aren't exactly flooded on the market. But with a short amount of time and effort, this is a relatively easy set to obtain.

    ffxiah.com/item-sets/312458

Achieving a 5-hit /war is a little more tricky. This is what I've come up with. I feel like this can be adjusted a few different ways.
Again, assuming fully upgraded Mikinaak pieces and DA augments on Cizin pieces: 106 str+136 att, +51 stp, 18 DA (+10 from /war), 24% haste, and 61 dex+77acc.
Honestly, you take a huge cut in some places in order to compensate for the 25 stp more that you need. This option just doesn't seem worth it. If you want to 5-hit, go /sam.

same as /war -15 stp from traits. 36 Store TP. The real number you need depends entirely on how much Store TP you WS in.

What would be some ideal TP/WS setups than? Ignoring perfect cizin augments. I think I have everything potentially relevant outside of duplus grip and whirlpool greaves. Well and the store tp stone, but that wouldn't be a big deal to buy.

if you don't have cizin then ares+1 hands and legs are most likely still the winner there

    optimally:

    upu/duplus/hagneia
    yaoyotl/mala/steelborn
    lnc+2/ares+1/rajas/k'ayres
    atheling/goading/ares+1/mikinaak (DEX path)

if perfect augments, swap ares hands and legs for cizin, quauhpili instead of yaoyotl. keep hagneia, as 2DA-> any atk gain from Thew or Potestas

    for stardiver, it should be:

    non cizin augments:

    quauhpili(oto+1 on active days)/gorget/brutal/moonshade
phorcys(yes, the ws damage does appear to win now)/phorcys/rajas/pyrosoul
atheling/ele.belt/cizin(mikinaak if you don't have)/mikinaak STR path(whirlpool if you got DEX path from TP)

perfect cizin augments: body, hands, feet.

I have 5/5 cizin but I don't plan to spend much effort/gil getting DA augments on it. I don't have any ares+1 (or plan to waste any time on it with gear going the way it is), I didn't think it was still relevant. Is TPing in af3 body really still ideal (barring cizin DA augment)?

Lancer's Plackart does require it to stay equipped to grant the food effect to your wyvern. Also, the +10 stp is pretty beastly, it just depends on the other gear you have. There are so many stp options available now though, so it's really up to personal preference.

There is probably a set that works around Enif body and Cizin hands for the extra STP to keep a 5hit and get more multihit but I can't be assed to spreadsheet it all out right now

I have this set at higher dps than any of the sets I've tried using lancer body. Requires carbonara for a true 5-hit, but it's got higher dps than my other sets even using rcb.

    Upukirex, Pole, ,Hagneia
    Yaoyotl,Ganesha's,Bladeborn,Steelflash
    Enif,Cizin,Rajas,K'ayres,
    Atheling,Goading,Cizin,Mikinaak

    R15 mikinaak.

Cizin augments didn't make or break the lead over the other sets I tried, so I'm not listing any. Although the lead was rather small without augs.

There's a pretty detailed post on ffxiah with a similar set. The poster used an asperity neck and RCB instead, but recognized that switching to carbonara would probably be better.

Is Voay staff worth using at all? I plugged shattersoul into the spreadsheet and mimicked the staff skill. It ended up being roughly a 10% increase in unbuffed (solo) piercing resistant situations. Not even worth thinking about on Delve mega bosses, since accuracy immediately floors.

I can't really think of a situation where you'd need to use one but if you wanted to mess around with it and the -30 acc didn't hurt your hit rate somehow, sure? I used to play around with plenitas vergus or w/e that crystal staff was called before all this ilvl gear blew away everything pre adoulin. It was pretty decent with shatter soul vs that skelly VW in tahrongi.

Probably worthwhile for skeletons if you have shattersoul unlocked and no one is banishing them.

Does Wyrm Mail, +1, or +2 have any differences to support job abilities transferring?

Does all traits pass over from /sam or only some? (I care mainly about Store TP and Zanshin, but I guess resist blind and Demon Killer wouldn't be bad.)

Let's be honest. For anything that matters, DRG is there for Angon, and that's about it. Any dmg you can provide is a bonus, but if your group counts on DRG for damage, it's destined to fail anyway (Tojil 75%-50% or Ceizak weak-to-piercing NMs are an exception). That being said, here's my take on it: DRG is squishy. Cizin set has defensive properties unlike anything ever seen in this game. It's a great offensive set too, but taking into account the fact that you are much more likely to stay alive in Cizin and not be an MP-sponge, just rock the Cizin stuff. Your WHMs will love you, and the tiny bit of DPS you lose is probably insignificant if your DDs aren't trash.

If every DD believed that they had to limit their damage to survive, that would build up, and you would be much closer to becoming the "trash" you dismiss.

Having seen your other posts, I understand that you are a part of a group that has not defeated Tojil yet. There is no shame in that. However, as someone who has been in a few ragtag groups while getting to and eventually beating Tojil, I can confidently say that no, you should not take the lower DPS route. Instead, you should improve your mages.

My WHM is the most poorly-geared of all of my jobs. It does not have much of the artifact armor, only had the most essential Empyrean pieces, and I've never taken its relic out of storage. I did cap Cure Potency, but when a group that I was with defeated Tojil for the first time, my Healing Skill was not capped. I never hid any of these things—I made it very clear that my WHM was crappily geared, yet I understood how to make the best of the equipment that I had. As such, while constantly lobbing Curagas during Tojil pre-nerf, I was able to maintain my MP and not let people die. (Their deaths eventually came when Lahar went off or due to some other complication. We did not have any Delve weapons, nor was anyone's Delve armor maxed out—you get the idea.)

I never once suggested that any melee should "not be an MP-sponge." In fact, as my main job is MNK, I had absolutely no desire to do such a thing, and on my first win with a group, I was WHM. The reason why: I was tired of getting pickup WHMs that couldn't do their jobs. Here they were, supposed WHM mains, doing far worse than I would on a job that I only leveled for simple things. Even though my MNK was one of the best in the group, I understood that it was more important for us to stay alive if we were to win, and I was right.

Don't lose that "tiny bit of DPS." Make your WHMs improve themselves. Make them have adequate Refresh sets and proper Curaga sets. You can do it with pieces that are easy to get on your way to getting better ones.

Heartfelt post Kohan, but man, that plus his terrible analysis of a Drg's DPS, as well as what's needed for bosses is just rough.
