Anti-Virus for Phone (Samsung Galaxy S2)

Hey,

One of my friend is using a Samsung Galaxy S2, im not sure which OS version but she came to me with a virus problem on her phone..I've been using iPhone so I don't know much about virus problem on Samsung phones...Is there a good way/apps that can get rid of the virus problem?

format it and start over tbh, there are free anti-vius apps but if you managed to get a virus its too much trouble I think,just format the phone and be safe

While you're at it slap them across the face a few times, it takes a special kind of fail to get a virus on Android.

Use the associated Google account to backup the contacts. Then, manually backup the rest of the files. Do not use any type of migration or backup app.

Thank you..um just quick question, the free anti-vỉrus apps aren't effective against these virus? What bout the paid ones?

You seriously have to try to get a virus on a phone. Like, really try.

The only way to really get a virus is by installing apps from outside the Play Store. Sticking to the Store it should be literally impossible to get a virus on a device running Android.

A friend told me that with the free ones, (Go ahead and laugh) the best is AVG, but only the Android version is any good. I wouldn't install AVG on my pc on a bet because the windows version is crap, but it IS on my kindle. But you need to install it before you get a virus. With Kindle Fire, that's kinda a necessity anyway b/c the Amazon app store is full of fail, so you find yourself sideloading things a lot. (and if you're like me, and don't have a android device to get the apk from, you may have to get 'em from alternate app stores which might not be policed as well as the Google App Store or Amazon)

I don't know about the paid ones. ^^ Maybe someone else can answer that.
