Not sure if it was posted already, but Black Friday sales were down 11% this year lol Media spin-cycle barely mentions the massive demonstrations in connection.

To say that had no impact would be naive, at best. Walmart being closed for hours on Black Friday at ONE location is crazy. Entire shopping plazas and hundreds of Walmarts having demonstrations means millions lost. We'll probably never know how much Walmart lost, but I'm sure we'll get some estimations in the near future.
That's still not an 11% impact. At best, maybe a 2% impact. Best Buy having it's site go down for an hour Friday Morning impacted sales more than one WalMart for a few hours. Out where I was shopping, I saw 0 protesters between two best buy's, a shopping mall, and a BevMo.
How much of the 11% lost was looted?
For me, I thought the deals this year were not as good as last year so while I went out to shop, I didn't buy anything.
Did score some online deals though!
Shitty black friday sales probably lead to shitty sale numbers (seriously, I wasn't even interested in anything this year except a cooking set at JCPenny)
yeah, this year's sales were garbage.
This was all over my social media feeds

I'm not denying that sales were down partly due to the decline in interest of Black Friday, but the protestors did a great job mobilizing for both Ferguson organizers and the 3rd year of Walmart workers protesting, seeing a large increase in support.
Someone creates a page, makes a claim about wages and taxes without sources, then asks for your email address so they can send you advertisements for other places to shop and, since they don't show their privacy policy, we can assume they are also selling your info for profit!
edit: Also, the complaints are about taxes in the UK, not the US.
What? It's an actual protest.

The complaints are about working conditions. Read this shit

Off topic: Atleast thats better than the protest they had in Quebec a couple years ago about ridiculous gas prices. The gameplan: "dont buy gas for a day", with no mention of "dont use gas for a day".
On topic: So instead of Amazon, people will just go to Walmart, because thats so much better.
LOL @ GIVING UP AMAZON. THEY ARE MY LORD AND ALLFATHER
Or any one of the dozens of corporate retailers who operate under the exact same standards as Amazon!
The point here Maz, is not shopping at Amazon will not change the industry-wide practices. Consumerism is at an all-time high. As long as people want more stuff, they will shop wherever they have to to get it.
