    afaik the best teams from each country gets invited to the league, obviously its only swedish and finnish teams left when it comes to the playoffs.
    KHL will join in next year, so that might spice things up abit.

    Interesting. A European Union... of Hockey. I imagine the KHL is only joining because their league is shitting the bed financially and barely staying afloat
