Program/Windows cleaners.

So okay, since I finally got the November update running nicely (/sigh. Guess it dropped late for me or something b/c I had to redo my system thanks to a major crash.) I have a minor annoying problem.

Seems that update hates Speccy. I've tried to manual remove any remnants so it won't yell at me, but it's been telling me it's been removed for 3 days.

Just to be sure so I don't get that notice anymore; Is there any good windows scrubbers that'd be compat with Windows 10 that can get any..traces..of a program out'a there? I do have CCleaner which is good for most stuff, but I need one that can pull every last speck of a program out.

Seems like a simple fix, most if not all scrubbing programs are crap anyway, no need to involve that.

Go to msconfig and look in the startup tab, check what might be related to it that's running on startup that's causing the popup. Sounds like Piriform has some sort of app it slided into your machine that detects for its own apps (Freemake did the same for their apps). For a clearer view, launch CCleaner, click Tools, Click Startup, which will display the same if not more info.

After that, get CPU-Z and GPU-Z if you want to learn more about your hardware.

I'll do that, it seems to have finally vanished though after I deleted it from windows.old for some reason. (Getting notices like that in the action center gets wearing.) I'll be keeping half a eye on Priform's site tho to see if they come up with a fix; and I'll try those and see if they work and Windows doesn't yell about them. (I did some googling and CPU-Z seems to be on the list of Windows-10-hates-that-after-the-update programs) I'm kinda anal about keeping a eye on temps after I lost my first pc to getting overheated, hence why I kept Speccy around.

Hopefully Priform comes up with a fix soon to stop that!

Not very pretty but in sensor-only mode, gives you a lot of info. Just run it before you start doing stuff so you can get some averages and maxes going. You don't have to install it either, there's a stand-alone version you can run from the folder you unzip it to (http://www.hwinfo.com/files/hw32_512.zip , current version as of this post).

I use Revo Uninstaller for removing programs. It sweeps undeleted files/folders, and also sweeps registry entries, all of which it provides you the option to delete, which I do.
