I really didn't expect the chibi/toybox-style
woooo looks awesome !!!
I didn't play Sinnoh all the way through back in the day so I'm excited about this. I wonder what the dex will look like. The previous remakes brought in a bunch of pokemon that weren't in the original games right?
I'm actually playing through gen 4 for the first time(haven't played anything past gen 2, so I've started slowly working my way through all of them). I gotta say, gen 4 is really good and probably my second favorite behind gen 2 now, so this is cool even though I would've preferred Let's Go Johto. I'll probably wait for a sale, but I'll definitely grab this one.
Y'all notice that slowdown right? Just...weird when they could totally fake it and not show that lol

I'm guessing you mean in the Pokemon Legends trailer? But yeah, that shit looked terrible. The trees in some of the shots look 2D too lol. I figure it's just really early, though.
Edit: I'm talking the slow down and stuff specifically. The actual game seems interesting and can't wait to see more.
Ohhhh yeah guess I did see the other trailer

Like the fact that they went with a more classic pokemon style for this one. I don't want to see them try a "realistic" mainline pokemon again until next Gen Nintendo consoles hit the market.
Yeah, I do like how this looks even though I'm probably skipping this remake since it will probably be $60 each.
I'm not really a fan of the style, even though I get what they're going for. It's just a little jarring after Sun and Moon went for full size models and then sword and shield after that. Something closer to X and Y would have been better but it's fine. If you can't get any other gen pokemon in the game besides what's normally in diamond/pearl I might just skip it though. Don't really care enough about gen 4 to pay 60 bucks to play the exact same game I have on DS still.
These are the best games to me in the entire series probably so am excite.
Developed by ILCA, and directed by Junichi Masuda (Game Freak) and Yuichi Ueda (ILCA), Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl enable fans to experience the original story and game features from Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl in a fresh way. The original games have been faithfully reproduced and colorfully revitalized for Nintendo Switch. The sense of scale of the towns and routes has been carefully preserved, and fans who played the original games will recognize many familiar places. These games are updated with the easy-to-understand, player-friendly conveniences introduced in recent Pokémon core series video games, in addition to up-close-and-personal Pokémon battle scenes.
Trainers will choose either Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup to be their first partner Pokémon before setting off on their journey. Along the way, they will be able to encounter the Legendary Pokémon Dialga in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and the Legendary Pokémon Palkia in Pokémon Shining Pearl.
