Putin called and told him we have to stop harassing one of their best customers.
Funny how we treat a nuclear-armed North Korea totally differently than a still-racing-to-breakout Iran.
If I was a country without nukes right now I would be arming as fast as fucking possible. Congrats on reversing and undermining the international, post-Cold War, international nuclear consensus.
Speaking of nukes, lol. If it were literally anyone else claiming this I would probably believe it.

Right, so the ticket to national sovereignty is having nukes, because we've abandoned the world order that afforded countries without nuclear armaments some dignity and independence, even if they were terrible.
Got it! So Iran should pursue nukes as the one true deterrent to continued US meddling.
At this point I'm definitely convinced Trump isn't a foreign agent he's just an astounding moron that is easily manipulated and only cares about self preservation.
Like every authoritarian ever.
Now morons are going to be like "Durr yea why we not helping North Korea lol"
I don't think he was ever a foreign agent either, at least not in the capacity that most people think agents are.
At the peak of his (political era) faculties around 2015-2016 he was certainly at least mostly there, he was more manipulable with money.
Now he is so clearly deep in dementia that I think he is just living a constant fever dream of appeasement and servitude within his inner circle. He doesn't know wtf is going on. The problem is, the people around him, they actually are foreign agents. At least, some of them.
Trump has already pulled the last aircraft carrier out of the Pacific region this week. I know most people hate that the US has a huge empire of overseas bases, but it will not be a good thing for the US to leave the region. It opens the door for North Korea to attack South Korea, and China to attack Taiwan. Although these things are unlikely to happen, but the US is turning into a mess. So anything is on the table these days.
Reminder fun fact that China hates North Korea having nuclear weapons (they consistently align with the rest of the world in demanding NK disarm their nukes), hates that Russia and NK are getting closer, and is extremely uncomfortable that Beijing is within range of NK's nuclear capable missiles. If China ever dares to stop supplying NK with the goods that keeps the NK regime in power thereby indirectly causing their fall, NK can bring China down with them.
I think NK is more likely to attack China than it is SK or US at this point. It's not because of Trump, not entirely anyway. They've been slowly thawing relations with the South for several years now. Just last week they proposed terms to formally end the war. The Kim family also officially recognized SK as an independent state and acknowledged reunification is impossible.
I am unsure of how serious anyone truly is in regards to Taiwan. China does want reunification, sure. They are also aware of the global catastrophe it would cause to disrupt the semiconductor industry by invading. For them domestically, perhaps not much. But China isn't a rogue state. I can't imagine they are particularly fond of the idea of becoming global pariahs and a huge public enemy like Russia is right now. It's not really worth it for them and they know it.
Any idea that "reunification is impossible" should be followed with "because we insist on remaining a despotic authoritarian hellscape."
Yeah they are saying that they want to remain a despotic authoritarian hellscape but also thaw out relations with their more democratic neighbors lol
SK, at the very least, seems at least slightly amicable to the idea.
