Hyped for it but I really hope they don't drop the ball on the story like the first game. I didn't mind each path feeling isolated from the others but putting the final boss behind a series of sidequests, a boss rush and then fighting them and if you lose you need to start back as the boss rush was complete BS
Yes! Meat! Real Meat!
Between this and Hogwarts I'm going to be busy for quite awhile.
Is it the same jobs as the first one?

Appears to be though it seems like they've updated/refined them a bit
Demo coming out on PS4/5 and Steam tomorrow
Nothing for Switch? Lame.
Oh. Derp.
just hope they hired writers out of high school this time
Yeah. Story was the biggest flaw. Way too segmented and even when you saw the whole picture some paths really didn't fit in that well.
And that's even taking the true final dungeon/boss into consideration.
Demo is out btw
Sorry for this bump, but this game came across my radar the other day and maybe a good "first rpg" for our almost 10 year old son. For those of you who played this: is it fun? Doesn't need to be ground breaking plot, just looking for a fun first experience
I'm actually playing through it right now
Story is better than the first for sure. Few fights can feel a little frustrating though.
Can also get a bit grindy towards the end. I've got 3 characters final chapter to wrap up before moving on to the final bit of the game.
I'd put it as a solid 7/10 range.
