    Full Circle (PC/Consoles) - PS1-Era JRPG

    Developed by 2ndPlayerGames
Beneath a city in the sky, on a surface overrun by mutated beasts, young heroes are raised with a single purpose: brave the wilds and keep humanity’s last refuge alive. But when a mission beyond the walls reveals survivors, rival cities, and secrets no one prepared them for, everything they believed begins to unravel.

Full Circle is a story-driven JRPG inspired by the classics of the PS1 era. Combining strategic turn-based combat and real-time precision mechanics, it is set in a post-apocalyptic world of floating cities, ancient ruins, and civilizations divided by sky and earth.

During combat, both clever strategy and quick reflexes are rewarded. Chain your party’s actions with precision-timed inputs to keep the pressure on and deny enemies a chance to react. Each character has unique abilities, from deploying turrets and hacking machines to taming beasts and controlling your environments. Experiment with action orders to unlock powerful combos, and swap between active and reserve party members to adapt on the fly.

A group of unlikely allies, survivors, outcasts, rebels, and believers, must journey together to uncover the truth behind a world torn apart. Discover a bittersweet coming of age tale of loss, resilience, and bonds forged amidst impossible odds.

    Features
    • Constant flow combat: Strategic turn-based battles with real-time precision. Time your inputs to chain attacks, discover combos, and swap party members without missing a beat.
    • Unlikely allies: A diverse cast of playable characters, each with unique abilities used in combat and to solve environmental challenges throughout the world.
    • A world divided: Floating cities, ancient ruins, survivor settlements, and untamed wilds, each with their own cultures and secrets.
    • Bittersweet storytelling: A coming of age narrative blending hope and melancholy, set in a world where nothing is as it seems.
    • Build your party: Mix and match 4 active and 4 reserve characters, combining gear, synergies, and unique skills to craft your playstyle.
    • Explore and Discover: Tame creatures, salvage tech, and follow hidden quests across a post-apocalyptic world.

I was just watching indy RPG fest and remarking how 80% of the games look like they're SNES games because the early 90s is what the people making and playing them are nostalgic for, and the other 20% (with some outliers) look like PSX games because time marches on and the next crop of indy developers are nostalgic for that era.

I've been working on a VR game inspired by Megaman Legends so that checks out. I'm also following I think two separate indie devs who are making a more traditional Megaman Legends inspired game.

Also following one who was(still is) making a Kirby Air Rider inspired game, been following them since before Air Riders was announced/released too. So the nostalgia goes up to Gamecube for some. Think most Indie Devs just want to make spiritual successors to games they loved as kids but were franchises left to fucking rot, hence my Megaman Legends kick.
