    Asuran Fists "stunning/canceling" mob WS...

    Anyone able to explain this? I've never noticed it before...

    Edit: Gear was evasion/solo build... Destroyers, Fenrir's Stone, O-Hat, Evasion Torque, Brutal Earring, Ethereal Earring, Scorpion Harness, Rasetsu Tekko, BQ Ring, Jelly Ring, Boxer's Mantle, Black Belt, Melee Hose, Dune Boots - MNK75/NIN37, wasn't using food.

    Edit2: I also noticed Chi Blast (used for pulling when it was up) would stun/bind the Attercops for a few (2-4) seconds. After landing Chi Blast, they'd sit there red for a good amount of time before making their way over to me.

    Could it be the mob type? I've never heard of this either.

    Are you 100% positive (through a filter you set) that someone didn't use a stun WS and/or has a stun weapon equipped?

    I was solo, and using Destroyers.

    You seem to have filtered mob misses. I think it just missed..

    Edit nvm, misread the screenshot. Strange, but given some of the behaviour of ToAU mobs it doesnt seem completely unlikely.

    I attributed this to lag last night in my Bhaflau merit party, but seeing that screenshot I'm not so sure. Last night in my party I'd use rampage, and in the log it would show two rampages alot of the time, not one. The damage wasn't the same either, so I'm not sure if both occurred at the same time or if only one did. It was weird.

    ive noticed that chiblast stun/bind thing as well on spiders right outside town.

    I can't quite tell from your Screenshots, but if you are using equipment change macros before your WS, lots of time any action that takes place while u EQ change doesn't appear in the log.

    Example If a ranger does Sidewinder, then I EQ change Rampage EQ change back to TP gear, you won't see the distortion damage in the log, or even see the distortion animation on screen, although it still happens.

    I dunno, just a thought.

    That's always been like that, the effect still goes off though and you can MB even though you can't see the animation, this is different because the WS didn't go off at all, it even used a different WS.

    Might be the way the Spiders are programmed, everything else in ToAU has some kinda quirkiness to it.

    I didn't really notice that and i soloed 20-30 attercops back when expansion came out, waiting on the picture quest.
    Pulling with chi or ranged they pause a few seconds so I don't think chi is a stun.
    About asuran, I think it might be the monster rather than just asuran though, or a glitch. They might have added this behavior just like using ws during imps singing makes them do frantic rip and drop imp horn.
    Also, were monster misses filtered out? I know it doesn't explain how it would have tp to do another move but it would be useful to keep that unfiltered for any tests.

    Ummm, I've noticed recently, sometimes Fafnir will not do Hurricane Wing. Couple Fafnirs ago, he would ready Hurricane wing, and then just sit in the "charge-up" stance until he attacked again. No Wing, nothing. It's not like it just didnt show up in the log, or got stunned, since everyone in the alliance was undamaged. He was paralyzed, but my LS always paralyzes Fafnirs and this has only happened once, when I was holding Faf with like 2-3 other people and on NIN. He had Jubaku on, so the whole Paralyze thing could be it. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

    Looking at the chat log:

    I don't see the mob attacking you at any point other than with TP moves (Acid Spray, Sickle Slash, Spider Web). So your filters had mob misses, mob attacks, and your evades turned off.

    Unless it's a ToA tweak, someone was probably fighting a spider within range, and your "monsters JA" filter is not set to off.

    It has been confirmed that with the Attercops, a Dragoon's Jump and High Jump causes the mob to be stunned.

    Probably the same with other job abilities such as Chi Blast as the OP has noticed.

    Interesting piece of info - DRG jump also temporarily stuns Snoll Tzar self destruct giving you another 10-15 sec to get him down. Found this out by accident during our run :D

    No one has probably ever noticed this before because you're the first person to ever bring a DRG to a time limited fight like Snoll Tzar.

    Oh good point, I didn't think about that but it's probably it, it would definitely explain the chat log.

    Too bad SAM/RNG Pre-Nerf is better than DRG Jump lol.
