I wish they hadn't done RMT countermeasures. I love people who RMT, they buy my HQ stuff :<

Exactly! Holy shit, I was making an absolute ass-raping during the RMT craze. Once I finally caught onto what was going on, I actually was pulling around 50 million a week. Unfortunately, this lasted for a very short amount of time before they implemented the RMT countermeasures. I want it to go back to the way it was. Then, when I max my gil, they can implement the countermeasures again.Originally Posted by ½pint
Aye, I was making a killing on SH +1's, selling them like hotcakes. Now I've stopped making them all together because the market is so bad.
It's not only the lack of gilbuyers, but the same people who bought gil, are now selling shit back at such undercut rates, because again, gil has no value to them. When the market is run in a negative way, by those who have no concept of the value of a gil, it becomes impossible for anyone legit to make gil via crafting.
man there might be less dumbasses in pimped out gear but give it time they will be back. and is it just me or the more they try to fix shit the more they fuck over the real players?
lol are people ever gonna stop bitching? people never get satisfied.
and you can still make good money, just cause the numbers isn't as high doesn't mean it's not the same value. 50mil now is like 100+mil a few months ago.
EDIT: +not
It's not really the numbers, it's the rate at which stuff sells. Nobody has gil to spend nowadays, so stuff takes ages to sell.
Hmm, nope, not a problem for me. My SH+1s sell as fast as usuall. You just can't charge as much as before.
Sup been standing in rolanberry for a week now with several harness +1's at 10m under AH, not even a nibble. Been offering them as trades for other items people are selling too, but people only want cash money.
SE admitted that the gil total in all worlds is generally declining. Pretty serious problem if deflation continues this way.
Not that I care, I have 9 digits worth of gil on me anyway.
10m under AH price as it was 3 months ago when +1s were 30mil?
Claw used to be 12m on Bismarck. SH was same and +1 about 27-29 on AH. I bazaared them over night for 1-2mil less in Rolanberry, usually sold over night, not always.
Now claws are 6-6.5m, SHs the same. +1 is about 15m on AH and I bazaar for 13-14m. Sells fine.
Maybe it's your server or you're still trying to sell them overpriced.![]()
No, 25m under the stupid prices from xmas inflation (45m). 10m under most-recent-sale of 30m, which was the beginning of March, gives you an idea just how often they are selling.
Claws here go around 10m. NQs AH for 10m, occasionally up to 11m, but more often than not a loss once you factor list fee.
I'm afk'd in rolanberry right now with 2 SH+1 at 21m (2.1x claw), and I don't even get so much as an offer overnight ("hey, how about 19/20m?"). I have 2 more HQ SH held back so my bazaar isn't overpopulated, and other hq harness I see are generally at 22-23m. I don't bazaar NQ harnesses at all.
You're saying you sell them fine at 13-14m with 6-6.5m (2.0-2.2x claw). I'm at the same ratio, and I'm getting jack shit for sales.
Well tbh most of those 15m sales on AH were when claws were 8mil 1-2 weeks ago. They'll prob drop a little now so we'll see. Not sure why claws suddenly started dropping again. When SE banned the gilsellers claws went 12 > 8 in a week pretty much. Has been there for a long time, now claws are coming down even more and not many people buy them.
Same with talons. Talons has gone from 5mil to 3mil in a week or two now. Used to be 10m~ with the inflation going on.
Lol that Cursed Cuirass -1 that the guy posted SS of in the other thread is still sitting in bazaar, all the way down to 70m now I think. Like the OP said, shit just doesn't sell anymore.
Yeah, I dropped my fucking cursed scale mail -1 to 55M a week ago... still no sale. RMTs need to get their shit together.
Wooooooahhhh, settle down there tiger.Originally Posted by Moochi
I am very happy with the steps SE is taking to combat RMT. If RMT had never been an issue I wouldn't be in this pickle in the first place. That being said, the giant influx of RMT money led to a buying spree that made me profit like I never had before in my FFXI career and since that period ended I haven't earned a single penny off of my craft. Most of our "bitching" is in a sort of jest but I am frustrated, I've spent a TON of money on finishing out my RDM equip and I have yet to find a way to make it back because either:
1) The market on items I used to make is flooded (I was the 2nd-3rd NA bonecrafter on Valefor to hit 100, now there is around 12-15+ @ 100 with who knows how many more on the rise). Bonecraft on Valefor is a hopeless endeavor now.
2) Materials aren't available (see 1)
3) Even if I do manage to get materials, HQ it, and undercut my 828824 competitors enough to have the low price, I need to pray that somebody wants to actually buy it.
4) Old decent profit items are a horrendous loss.
The list goes on and on..
The only good thing that has come of RMT is that some of the items I do camp have gone up 400%, though actually getting pulls is kinda rough now, I can win less to still make money.
But it has totally destroyed any hopes of crafting besides basic materials synths.
Shit doesn't sell at all on Siren. You can bazaar tier 1 HQ's at a loss and people dont care, either the money isn't there or people all the sudden don't care to be pimped at all (read as: calling IGE was the only effort previously needed for white boxes). With that gone I guess people have no clue what to do.
My only problem at the moment is the amount of rare/ex gear additions to the game. I know that when the deflation becomes too bad that SE will take measures to fix this, but there seems to be no end to the alternatives they provide to gear that is crafted. I understand that not everybody has the means to obtain these items, but the people who can afford HQ crafted gear sure seem to be able to. I'll admit that I like the gear SE keeps giving, but not at the expense of our time, effort, and gil.
First post by the way, hey from Lakshmi..
Then stop making things for a while.
The market was saturated with tons of gil that was flying around like madness, as a result, there was a boom in crafting. Now the money has dried up, but people are trying to produce items at the boom level. Supply is outstripping demand, so the only logical thing to do is to reduce the supply. If enough crafters slow down what they are doing, the market will stabilize a bit faster.
(Besides, why would you craft things if even the tier 1 HQ items are a loss?)
