Iv been using the japanese PS2 FFXI for so long, playing on the american version feels so diffrent and gives me a hard time to communicate with people in romanized Japanese...

if someone can link me or send me the japanese POL i will be very greatful

Start -> Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> Advanced -> Language for Non-unicode Programs: Japanese

Click OK, Restart, and the IME in Windower should work now. Alternatively, you can use AppLocale.

Not to be rude, but I wasn't telling you to install Japanese support, I assumed you already had it. I was telling you to set the default Language for Non-Unicode Programs to Japanese. If you actually do it, you'll see that it works. Or, as I previously stated, you can use AppLocale. If you try that, and it doesn't work, tell me.

Do you have a unicode font installed? My laptop used to show all "???"s every time I visited JP sites, until I installed a unicode font that contained the correct character sets.

i really hope this works :S spent too much time searching for the POL CD that I owned a year ago...

new windower came out yesterday night, IME working again.

If you're reeeaaallyyy desperate and can find no other alternative, I can rip my JP POL CD and upload it for you if you can provide me with somewhere to do so as I have no webspace that big.
